Its just a small park in the middle of town. A few structures like a entrances and bandstand . Also, the podium where Presidents of the republic spoke to the people during his visits to zamboanga.

Passed by this place by accident. It's a small place that you can easily miss if you don't know it's there. I saw people happily pass the time here. Didn't stay long though as my friends warned me there are snatchers in the area. So just be careful.

Its crowded and can be scary at night or any time of the day. Be careful and dont stay around too long. Plaza pershing is a good to see place since it's right in front of the City hall. Nothing fancy except for the history and the dancing fountain at night.

Plaza Pershing was named after American general John "Blackjack" Pershing who fought in the Philippine-American War. Today, its is a open air park in the middle of Zamboanga's busy shopping district where people get to stroll around, listen to music and join contests on special occasions, and buy local goods during fiestas. It is very near the Universidad de Zamboanga... More

This place dates back from the time of Spanish and American Occupation. It has been renamed and now retains the name of an American Flavor. The place also belongs to a group of markers left behind by the Americans, now it has been used by the locals to held events and during Christmas season this is filled with lights adding to... there was an on-going agricultural trade fair when I dropped by, so not much to see actually. The area is just small, near the city hall. It was quite crowded, there were some students milling about.

This plaza never seems to run out of people. Almost everybody stays here to just unwind or meet-up with friends. I just wish there were more seats and better attractions for people here.

Relaxing venue in the center of the city; or shop til you drop then come to rest here sipping your coconut juice while enjoying the breeze of the wind. A small escapade from the busy-ness of the streets around.

Beautiful.. Nice columns and kiosks and a fountain always showing off the power of the height of its shooting water. Admirable place on one side, yet on the other, their was a place uncleaned with some bushy portion, an eyesore of the beautiful city center.
