- Xerxes RDubai, United Arab Emirates520 contributionsBlessed to have visited here.I loved this experience. The ganga is breathing, the views are pretty, the vibe is electric to say the least. There were a few Mandirs on the site. The pooja starts about 1730, and the main aarti around 1800, that's what we attended. U should tc of your belongings as apparently lots of pickpockets around. There many shopping stalls and food places too. We loved the visit, I hope you will love it too. JAI GANGA MAVisited October 2023Traveled as a coupleWritten October 26, 2023
- PradyumnaNew Delhi, India250 contributionsTriveni Ghat - The Divine GhatThe Triveni Ghat is a beautiful ghat. On top of the gate of the ghat is the sculpture of the divine chariot with the greatest Lord Krishna conversing with King Arjun! This conversation is immortalized into the divine tome – The Bhagwat Gita! An amazingly beautiful sculpture. And so overwhelmingly divine! This ghat is enclosed. You have to keep your shoes outside before entering the enclosure. And the problem starts here itself. There is a shoe keeping enclosure that can accommodate a few hundred pairs. But it wasn’t managed well. I think it’s a free service so its fairly indifferent in its service. The crowd was overwhelming during the Aarti. A lot of bhakti songs were being sung. And more than that – sloganeering which was interesting. Once it was over, the ambiance was serene. No tea was allowed in this part of the ghats.Visited November 2023Traveled with familyWritten November 21, 2023
- csharma4Laguna Niguel, California82 contributionsA visit to Triveni Ghat in RishikeshTriveni Ghat is a clean, beautiful place to visit and participate in Ganga Aarti in the evening that starts promptly at 6 pm and lasts for about 30 minutes. It is splendid and worth the visit. Try to be there by 5 pm to get good seats. It does get crowded. You must remove your shoes and there is a place to deposit your shoes (free of charge). Staff organizes the event well. However, to get to Triveni Ghat one has to travel through some crowded narrow streets.Visited November 2023Traveled with familyWritten November 26, 2023
- drnaveenbp113 contributionsExcellent view of aarthi. We were here for the aarthi of ganga in evening. It starts at 6:45pm. The ghat was very close to hotel and atmosphere during aarthi is great. Do visit in the evening when you visit rishikesh, it is a good place to sit in peace and watch the river.Visited December 2023Traveled on businessWritten December 20, 2023
- Debashis TDehradun, India2,296 contributionsFeel the vibeNavigating the narrow and bustling roads leading to Triveni Ghats in the evening can be challenging. For a more comfortable journey, consider taking an auto, which can drop you off near the ghat area. To enhance your visit, it's crucial to be mindful of the aarti timings, which may vary with the changing seasons. Arriving at least one and a half hours before the scheduled aarti time is advisable to secure a good view and seating. Note that the first three rows are reserved for visitors who have paid for special puja, and a barricade separates this area from the standing section. Even if you arrive 45 minutes before the ceremony, standing space in the general section may be limited. The aarti experience at Triveni Ghats is captivating, commencing with the dhoop aarti, followed by the main aarti accompanied by soulful aarti songs playing in the background. It is a spiritual spectacle that you won't want to miss. As the aarti concludes, there might be a more relaxed stance on barricade enforcement. This could provide an opportunity to move closer to the aarti place and even participate in the ceremony. However, exercise caution and be mindful of your belongings, especially in crowded areas. Visiting Triveni Ghats offers a profound spiritual experience, and with these insights, you can plan your visit to make the most of this unique and culturally rich setting.Visited June 2023Traveled with familyWritten January 2, 2024

You need to arrive at leaast 1hour before the scheduled time of aarti to get a good view spot of the aarti.. This experience is really divine !! The aarti is followed by religious bhajans which is sung live. You should definitely not miss this.. You will fell blissful.. - Rekha KSingapore1 contributionPrayer to GangaThis was an unforgettable experience! We participated in the aarti and this made it special as we were not just spectators. After buying the tickets we were asked to sit near the front. It was very well organized. The line of priests guided us with some prayers before the aarti. The aarti itself was mesmerizing, the priests moving like a choreographed dance and we followed their actions! Something not to be missed!Visited March 2024Traveled with familyWritten March 25, 2024

From the moment we purchased our tickets, we were welcomed warmly and guided to a prime seating area near the front. The organization was impeccable, and the priests' gentle guidance through pre-aarti prayers added depth to the experience. As the aarti unfolded, we were entranced by the harmonious movements of the priests, feeling as though we were part of a beautifully choreographed dance. It was an immersive and captivating experience that left a lasting impression of divine connection. Truly a moment to cherish.Visited July 2023Traveled soloWritten April 14, 2024

I paid off 1100 for my family and we were allowed to sit in the first two rows from where we can enjoy the live Arti and before the start of the Arti Pandits also perform Pooja in holy river Ganga with u. Believe me once the Arti will start u will find yourself in a whole new world. It is one of the most popular and well-attended rituals of the town, Rishikesh. The Maha Aarti is performed by chanting bhajans in praise of the lord and is celebrated by beating electrifying drums and rhythmic bells. The prayers offered to the lord are melodious and hypnotising, allowing you to feel the energy of the lord and connect with him.The devotees release small floating leaf boats with oil lamps or gleaming diyas in them. The entire river is dotted with these little burning flames and the beauty of yellow flames in the dark water under the twinkling night sky is unparalleled.

A must visit for the evening aarti of Ganga. It is such a spiritual experience and organizers manage the entire event very well. Would recommend to give a small donation if you want to do puja of Ganga otherwise you can reach a hour and a half earlier to get front seats. In May when we visited the aarti time is 7.00 pm, so you can reach at 5.30 to reserve your seat in the front row leaving few rows for the devotees who have donated for the Ganga Puja. This way you can also watch the puja performed by other devotees. Please check the aarti timing in every season as they keep on changing. I would request the Ganga Seva Samiti to please update the timing regularly on their website and also on Google Maps.

We were blessed to perform Ganga Aarthi here . It starts at around 7.00-7.15 PM in the evening . You were supposed to reach here early one hour in advance to buy Aarthi ticket (Minimum Rs.600) and reserve front seat . We reached late and fortunate to get Aarti ticket and seats on the very front row. Sankalpam was done and were seated comfortably. Aarti lasted for 30-45 Minutes . Serene atmosphere . Destined .

Visited the Triveni ghat Aarti after the parmarth Niketan Aarti on the following day and found it worth it. Proper sitting, proper management, proper Darshan, neat and clean is what defines the Aarti here. Pay rs 300 to get a ticket and you can urself do the Aarti from the first row or else can sit behind and just watch. But found it very very organzjed. Go a little early arnd 5:00 pm to get the best seats

Triveni Ghaat is the biggest and most visited ghat in Rishikesh where thousands of devotees take holy and ritual bath in sacred River Ganga. It is believed, people get rid of their sins after taking bath in Ganga. The Ganga Aarti is performed every evening (6:30pm in winters) to the chants of Vedic hymns. The sight of diyas and petals floated by devotees in river is of mesmerizing view. Reach there before time to grab a suitable sitting place.

This place has a very special vibe. The ghat gives a scenic view of ganges... The water flowing here is very clean and calming. The roar or ganges is devine... The evening aarti at Triveni that can not be missed. The view of aarti is spectacular. The pandits performing aarti follow uniform dress code and they perform the aarti with systematic coordination which adds to the Bliss.

Well organized, most of the people were without masks though they did not allow anyone without a mask to enter. Besides that the best benefit was car can be driven close to the Ghat. There was ample seating and my family loved the bhajans that were sung live. Better than the one at Pramarth ashram.

Ganga Aarti is held in the evening at Triveni Ghat. In this Ganga Aarti, you can also do Ganga Aarti by Pandit Ji by taking a ticket of ₹500. In the first three lines, those with ₹500 tickets are seated. The rest are public in three or four lines. If you arrive at 5:30 pm, you will be able to sit down. If you take a ticket of ₹500, you will be offered a pooja to Mother Ganga. You can do Ganga Aarti by standing in three rows and you will be given prasad after Ganga Aarti. There is also a shoe stand near Triveni Ghat where you can comfortably put your shoes. के अग्या में जादे होक्र में अरती जा सकती है के सकती है के अरती की भाँ के अर्ती की भाउ खाइट के है

Hi, I’m planning to visit Rishikesh with my pet dog. Would it be possible to take him to Triveni ghat during the evening for Ganga Aarti or at any time of the day at all? Or any idea if animals are not allowed there/ separate entry tickets needed etc? Any help is much appreciated, thanks!

Cabs from DED airport to most hotels run around R1800 to R2200.Are these reasonable prices or is there a shuttle from the airport to different hotels or any other safe pre fixed cabs available? . Are they on time or have a long wait . Thank you mucho!
Written April 11, 2019
Taxi from DED to the hotel close to Triveni Ghat cost is Rs1200 - we booked it at the taxi counter in the airport - pay at the counter to avoid fare disputes.. There is no shuttle service. The taxi comes immediately once you have made the payment at the counter.

What would you recommend for a hotel near the Triveni Ghat . Are cabs easily available if the hotel is at a distance.
What other sites would you recommend ?

where can we book the aarti at Triveni Ghat or parmarth niketan.
Written March 23, 2018
We just showed up little early to see the aarti. You can check with the hotel people about the timings of the arti and go early so that you have a better place to seat near the water with a better view. We didn't have to climb any stairs. Our car took us very close to the ghat. Hope this helps.
