Reviving my childhood memories of Lakshman Jhula, I felt the same excitement on it. When you stand on the jhula, you can actually feel the swing which has given it its name.

The setting was really amazing on the day we visited the bridge, windy and cool with a good amount of wind blowing over the Ganges. This place is more of a view point of the Ganges and history says that people began their Char Dham yatra from here. It is quite an old bridge and could be better maintained, especially... More

Narrow bridge.. mostly pedestrians, occasional cows and motorcycles and of course, a huge army of monkeys. .. This bridge gives you an amazing view of the Ganga esp when you look towards Devprayag... Beware of the monkeys though. . Not too agressive unless provoked ... Pl do keep your valuables and cameras away from their reach..

The view of Ganga and mountains is good but 2 wheelers are a real mess and are always noisy. I fail to comprehend why they do not understand that they are at one of the biggest tourist place in their city and that the honking will not help!! Stray cows are also a big let down.
