I stayed in Rishikesh for a month for yoga teacher training which I wasn't near impressed by the either the teaching methodology and the organisation. We were there the end of July till August and it was an absolute madness to cross the bridge to the mainland during Shiva Ratri festival, like ages. For me, it was an ok bridge... More

It is a breathtaking experience to walk on this suspension bridge. It is a narrow bridge which allows only two wheelers to cross. We walked the bridge and the cool breeze of the ganges was very soothing.

Ah! the surreal beauty of rishikesh and the magnificent expanse of Ma Ganga is a sight to be cherished and stored forever in your neurons. The wind that blows across as you walk over the jhula feels like a breath of fresh air in a world dying of hypoxia.

This iconic bridge was built in 1930 to replace its predecessor. It's very popular amongst the visitors for photos and used to cross the Ganges River. You share the bridge with pedestrians, motorbikes, cows, monkeys and dogs. It brings you high above the powerful Ganges River and allows you to easily access offerings on both sides of the river.

Laxman Jhula is one of the two main bridges across river Ganga, in Rishikesh. This is a famous landmark, and is surrounded by temples, hotes, cafes, etc. There are taxi stands on either sides of the bridge. While you are walking on the bridge, monkeys are watching you from top, and eatables and shiny/fancy objects may attract them. I stood... More

Lovely bridge made zillion years back. Well maintained Amazing view of the Ganges when u stand there The only flip side is it allows two wheelers to go by hence u ll have to put up with the constant hoking sounds which is annoying .

This is the most touristic area in Risikesh, but if you are practicing yoga in Ram Jhula, maybe you would need a good western food or wifi once in a while in laxman jhula. Also, you can walk even upper and you have nice walks to the waterfall, nil can cave, etc

It's nice place but not much is there to visit. It's old jhula called Lakshman jhula. Earlier it was moving but now it was tied with iron ropes. So no thrill. One time visit is enough.
