I was lucky enough to have the whole place to myself, exploring all the abandoned buildings, finding great works of art in hidden corners or displayed throughout big open halls. Go and explore, observe, absorb the energy. Meditate for a while and imagine what was and what occurred all those years ago. Away from the hustle and bustle. Make sure... More

From shopping and restaurants to beaches and ashrams, this is the place! The Best beaches in town are just upriver from Ram Jhula Bridge, and farthest down river is Maharishi's Ashram where the Beatles visited. In between are all the shops, cafes, bathing ghats and hotels that you need for great ganga darshan.

Had the pleasure of visiting the Swarg Ashram and it was absolutly amazing. Such a treasure tucked away in the forest, it is a definity must see if you are in Rishikesh. The little meditation huts are sprinkled around the grounds and all the other buildings are so unique to see. The art work in the Bettles gallery very unique... More

As the name connotes, it is a beautiful place situated in picturesqe surroundings at the foothills of Himalayas. On the left bank of the Ganges between Rishikesh and Laxmanjhula, Swarg Ashram is the spiritual "ground zero” of Rishikesh, filled with a concentration of ashrams and temples. The areas is known for its healthly and satvic living environment.

Nice and clean facility in Indian standards :) close to few ghats and evening Aarti on Gangaji. Please try to maintain cleanliness in the Ashram and in whole of rishikesh.

Swargashram is a different world of its own. All on the banks of ganga. People come and stay at ashram for months. Must visit for all seeking peace.

Definitely make the trip or walk if you can and they let you in. It is so cool to see the wall art and snoop around in the meditation caves. The place is pretty much a straight path from the bridge, there are details of the things you will pass but you can't go wrong if you go straight.
