A car cruise through the hillside safari park is great family fun. In addition to feeding the animals (you purchase the food there), there is a village with other animal exhibits that one is able to walk through. Additionally there are gift shops and a...More

Staff was friendly. There were a variety of animals. The cages/fences are basic so don’t expect San Diego Zoo or anything, but the animals were great and I loved the friendly atmosphere. You can feed camels and giraffes(and a few others). You can have beautiful...More

We drove 3 hours to visit this place because we have heard only good things about the Natural Bridge State Park so we figured the Zoo should be great too! The website and map of the zoo make it LOOK great! It was very disappointing!...More

We loved the parakeets mostly and feeding the animals was nice too. The lemurs were our favorite animals in the zoo. We could see most of the animals in their pens even though they were trying to get shade. The next time we go we...More

We drove 8 hours to ride elephants. We came at the opening time, there were almost no people there, so we had the zoo to ourselves which was awesome! It was nice to see such a different kind of zoo. It didn't feel like we...More

This is a small private zoo and our four year old daughter had fun feeding the animals, but some of the animals could have been in better habitats and used some cleaning and better maintenance. We did ride the elephant too and checked it off...More

I didnt know this place even existed. I read horrible reviews and expected to be upset and ready to protest, but what I found was well cared for animals and a real effort to ensure they were comfortable. I do wish some of the spaces...More

Help me plan Labor day trip! (5 Replies)
Hi, We are a family of three - my husband and I in our 30s and our 3 year daughter. Planning a trip to VB over Labor day. 1. Need some suggestions about where to stay - not interested in weekly rental. We would like a 3 star around $150-$200 per night preferably on/very close to the beach. Wouldn't mind a condo rental - infact would like one if we can get it for 3 to 4 nights. Possibly from Sept 2 to 6! Or should we consider staying in Williamsburg and doing a day trip to the beach? ...More

I'll jump to #3 -- that's not a day trip. Natural Bridge will be a 4-hr drive at best. 4. Yes, BG is about an hour from VB. 5. Ocean Breeze Waterpark -- You can check the website. It looks like Buccaneer Bay might fit the bill. OK -- weather should be nice. See the Top Questions -- there is one that addresses weather.
