While driving back roads found this gem and stopped in to have a tasting.
Young lady waited on us as we ordered a tasting. Lots of great information shared and we tasted Seyval, Chambourcin, Merlot and Mulled Cider. All were good and they have lots of fun wine gifts to offer.

Walking into the open Barhouse was absolutley wonderful!!...it felt like home, the seating, the firepits, even the cat walking around on the property was not intrusive but made it feel like home... The view were amazing, I could sit out there with a blanket all day....They do allow picnics on the property but had plenty of intimate places where you didnt feel you were over run with other ppl...the ciders are delicious, and the pairings were for everyone...chips, cheese, crackers, chocolate..etc.
All in all we had a relaxing time and will return!

This vineyard was the finale of our 4 winery tour adventure. I got the feeling that they do not encourage large groups or tour groups. They were not welcoming or accommodating. They forced us into buying flights as opposed to a full tasting experience. They did not explain the wines, the vineyard and/or anything that made them special. There were a few wine notes on the tasting menu, but they were limited and gave very few details... for example, they didn’t even tell which grapes were used...

Kindred did not use the opportunity to introduce the brand to new customers. I enjoy wine a great deal and their wine was pretty good. However, because of the poor service I decided not to buy and I will not return.

Being gluten intolerant I love the fact that there are so many wineries with hard ciders. We tried almost all the ciders they offered and they were some really good ones. Super nice staff. Very clean bathrooms and lounge area. So glad we were able to visit this place.

We visited here with a few friends. Some did the red wine tasting, some the white wine, and others the cider tasting. The place looked nice but nothing really special considering it's a winery - there are much prettier ones around. The tastings itself though where really rushed. They clearly were annoyed us entering with 8 people - we had to line up in order of the type of tasting, otherwise they could not coordinate. They rushed the actual tasting - quickly poring, giving really only the information that was already on the menu. Lastly - the actual tastes were barely a zip - so quite price at more than $1 per zip.

The tasting room is rather small and not a lot of seating. Wines were a little too earthy and young for my taste. They do also have a cider tasting which looked good.

My husband and I made a day trip to visit some wineries in the area and had never been to this one, glad we stopped!!! The tasting room was beautiful and the items that they keep in their gift shop was not the average stuff you find at other wineries! The wine and service was amazing and we had a difficult time deciding on what wine to take home because we wanted to get one (or more) of everything! Highly recommend, it was a great stop for us and we will return again when back in the area.

Between the adorable horse motif. The comfortable seating. The fireplace. Friendly service. Then we get to the wines and whites were really good. Light, not too oaky. The reds were OK, to me not as good as the whites.

Yes all of the above here at Kindred! Nice little gift area and yummy chocolate truffles. Warm puffy sofas and fireplaces for relaxing. Now, for the wine - after our tasting we HAD to have a glass of the sangria which is only sold by the pitcher - and rumor has it, the mulled wine is starting soon. We were not lucky enough to meet the local dog, Oscar the boxer, so we did the next best thing and bought a bottle of the wine named after him. Meet you next time Oscar!

This winery is spacious, with several places to relax and enjoy a glass or two (or three...) with friends. The staff was very friendly and we were shocked to learn that the woman doing our tasting was only on her 2nd day. We would never have guessed. She was very knowledgeable about the wines and was very friendly. It was Labor Day weekend and the staff did a great job of multi-tasking to help the large crowd. Also, we ordered a cheese tray, which included sausage and crackers. It was very nice and very reasonably priced. In addition to delicious wines, they have sausage for sale, chocolates that look too pretty to eat and a variety of fun things in their store.

My only complaint is that the wine I purchased was incorrect. I didn't realize until I was home that one of the bottles of wine that I received was wrong. I have emailed them but have not yet heard back. I am sure that they will rectify this, but just be sure to double-check your purchase before you leave.
