Mayberry Drive-In and Diner is no longer there. The Diner caught on fire last year. There were rumors of it being rebuilt but looks like it will never be again. The food was okay, but the experience of being in a 1950's diner car was cool. It sat in the back of a drive in movie field. You could watch... More

I've been to see a few features at the Mayberry Drive-In Theatre and Diner. It's a fun experience on most occasions, but I will say that it is amazing how often off-putting and inconsiderate behavior of others can ruin something like a Drive-In experience. One would think it's common sense not to sit on top of the cab of a... More

The 50's are back. My grandmother loves this place. Everytime she comes to visit me she has to go. Prices are reasonable. Staff is great.

On a recent trip to SML, we ate lunch at the Mayberry Drive-in. Everything on the inside is as authentic as you could want, and the ice cream fountain immediately beckoned. But, we started with a normal lunch and there were many options. My partner had a philly steak and cheese with fries, very good, and I had a veggie... More

We had dinner in the diner before the movie -- average food, average service, but it's hard to beat the convenience of having a diner situated right next to the drive-in movie. The drive-in was a pleasant surprise and it added a relaxing event to our vacation week at Smith Mountain Lake. As many others have said -- you get... More

Mayberry drive in theatre was a great place for me and my family to enjoy good food and up to date movies. We were also able to bring our 2 dogs, which made it even more pleasurable. The employees were very friendly and ready to please the customers. We will try to go at least once a month, because it... More

Friendly staff, retro atmosphere, great food, and a fun way to watch a movie! Loved the deep fried oreos. Go to eat early on movie nights because the restaurant gets really busy. So glad we found this place.
