Decided to stop at a few vineyards on our way to Harrisonburg. The countryside was gorgeous. Nice little place with great view. They had several wines to choose from which tasted very young. Didn't find as many wines that I cared for at this location. We did help them fix their computer/internet due to the payment processing was not working.... More

I didn't really like the wine and found the tasting room to be cramped. We werent fans. I admit we went there despite our friends saying they werent fans. We probably should have listened to them. This may be for some but not for us.

I recently visited the winery on a cold and rainy day. We were pleased that they were open. Holly was unpacking boxes but took the time to welcome us, and provide a tasting. She was friendly and knowledgeable. North Mountain is much more casual and laid back than many of the Virginia wineries but it was such a pleasant experience... More

This was our second stop on our wine tour. Hostess was very knowledgeable and interesting. Very good tasting and good views of landscape. Bought more wine and moved on to the next winery.

After winding our way through the narrow roads, we expected the winery to be sparsely attended on a Saturday in mid-afternoon. Little did we know we stumbled onto the local entertainment circuit. As we sampled a truly delectable (and relatively large) set of wines, we discovered one could have a bit of a meal so we signed on for the... More

Great staff. We had an indulging conversation on different dessert wines. (I love dessert wines). The owner was very friendly. It was my boyfriend's birthday and he opened a bottle of Riesling (I think it was that) and every guest that came in got to sample the wine and he announced that it was in honor of his birthday. Talk... More

We visited on a cold, blustery Saturday. The wine tasting room was warm and inviting. The staff is super friendly and very knowledgeable about their wines. The wine tasting room is animal friendly also. We made friends with several well-behaved dogs and their owners. We ordered a loaf of bread, some sausage and cheese and glasses of wine. We spent... Excellant wines. Both reds and whites. Pourers are great. Enthusiastic and very knowledgeable about the wines. A perfect way to spend a Sunday afternoon.

We visited four different wineries that day and this was by far the quietest. Perhaps because it is a little more out of the way or maybe it was just earlier in the day. There was a steady flow of people coming and going, but it wasn't overly crowded. I believe the woman doing the tasting said that one of... More

We spent Labor Day camping near Front Royal and explored a few vineyards while we were there. We're no strangers to the wineries off I-66 and have made frequent stops in Delaplane and Marshall in the past. This weekend we decided to head in the other direction and look for something off the beaten path - and ended up a... More
