Really pretty venue, w lunch available. Did the tasting and wow, the unoaked Chardonnay was delicious, and I am not usually again at al. Light, not oaky, I bought a bottle, to my husbands surprise! We didn't have lunch, but I've heard it's quite good, and the view alone would probably make the food taste better!

This is a beautiful spot, with amazing views of the rolling hills and vineyards from tables in the cavernous hall or on the patio. We really enjoyed our time here, and the wine flights were surprisingly good. Food was all delicious, but service was a bit spotty. Vegan at the table got buttered bread (no apology and the replacement bread... More

The unique thing about this winery is that you can sample wines from other Virginia wineries too. Before you think "Virginia wines?!?", you need to try some. They have come a long way and are quite respectable. I tried a flight of Virginia reds, my wife tried the flight of wines, white, rose and reds from Early Mountain. We had... More

This vineyard has some of the best wines in Virginia, superior to most vineyards in the area. The place is recently renovated and is gorgeous. They serve food as well. Great place for weddings and special events.

Came here on a whim -- very impressed. I forgot what we bought but most of their reds were enjoyable. You can also purchase a selection of other Virginia wines. They also have a good food menu. The main "great room" is gorgeous. Very reminiscent of Sonoma or Napa Valley wineries. However, the musician they had kind of detracted from... More

Beautiful location with great views. Food is good though a little pricey for what you get. Staff is not very attentive. They spent a lot of time speaking with themselves and we had to wave them over for attention. Wines were okay for our taste. If in the area definitely worth the visit.

Stopped at Early Mountain on the Shenandoah leg of the Virginia Wine Trail. The staff was welcoming and very helpful in getting us oriented to how the "tastings" work -we are rookies to this. The facility was beautiful - inside and out! Many places to have a picnic on the grounds as well. The wine was wonderful. We did not... More

We went on a Sunday, this convenient and unassuming location holds a true gem of a wine experience. The tasting room/restaurant is stunning and impressive with creative offerings on the menu and great wine-the rose was a delicious surprise. We stayed in the Guest Cottage and had the most relaxing, tranquil evening looking out over the Blue Ridge Mountains. The... More
