We've visited a lot of vineyards in Northern VA and this one stands out for sure. The scenery is beautiful, as is the building. We almost felt like we were back in New England. There is lots of great outdoor seating if the weather is right. The wines were some of the best I've had. Very unique compared to the... More

I must recommend this place. It is a lovely spot in its own Hollow, with views of the Shenandoah National Park. the wine was very drinkable, and the music (on Saturday afternoons through the summer and fall, just right. My recommendation is to walk part of the White Cliffs trail into the park in the morning. Finish the afternoon in... More

The wine is delicious and I love that the place is dog friendly. When my husband and I most recently went, our dogs were pretty poorly behaved and were barking quite a bit. Our taster was so sweet and amazing and brought out a bowl of water and some treats for our pups to help calm them some so we... More

We enjoyed our tasting and the staff was very nice. We bought 3 bottles of red wine. If you buy two bottles, one of the tastings is free (normally $8). We brought a picnic lunch to eat outside on their patio.

Drawn to Ducard by the Tesla destination charging, their superb hospitality and excellent wine will have us going back -- often! We've explored a few other local wineries, and typically enjoy them... Ducard, however, was exceptional. We had a group tasting, along with a tour of their small production facility. Found out they also offer dinner in the wine making... More

We stopped by DuCard as a first stop of two wineries we wanted to check out. We ended up staying there the whole time because we loved it so much! I cannot say enough great things about this place. The wine we selected was great-- we ended up getting 3 bottles of the same. The views are breathtaking-- mountains all... More

Not my favorite winery -- most were on the sweet side for my taste. The reds were also very young vintages (2014 and 2015) and could probably sit for another few years. The drive to the winery was very nice!

Thanks for visiting. For the record: We currently have 6 dry wines and 2 sweet at present (one is a port stye dessert wine), and the reds are 2012, 13 and 14 vintage. No 2015 reds will be released until next year - and our reds are always released with at least a two year 'delay.' We agree that our... More
