Great for kids and the whole family. Love the opportunity to see local creatures while learning about conservation and protection. Always fun to see what critters will be skittering around the room during a visit.

My four-year old grandson really enjoyed seeing the live animals. Kind of small- took less than half an hour and that was stretching it. I'm in a powerchair- the facility and displays were very accessible.

This place was so cool! We went to a kids birthday party there. They have a small nature center that the kids can check out with some interactive displays. During the party, they bring out local animals and you can watch them eat, touch them and learn about them. It was really amazing. The kids liked it, but I loved... More

Admission was free, the only place to take kids to see live animals in Lynchburg. Combined with a trip to the market, makes for a nice Saturday afternoon!

Seeing all the animals that they have here are great. I LOVED the flying squirrel. I had never seen one before.

As this is a free exhibit don't expect over the top stuff, but they definitely have plenty of cool and educational things. I had my son's birthday party there in march and everyone loved it and it was very well done. They even provide the cake as well as some goodie bags and decorations. You have two themes to choose... I liked taking my toddler there for a free exibit on bee keeping. We liked the iguana which was pretty much the largest animal there. The staff person spent a good bit of time answering my questions and allowing my child to touch things. The snakes, spiders, the guini pig and the squirl were memorable too. There are lots or educational... More

Very small, few creatures, didn't get to see the bigger ones...fine for young kids, 3-4, thankfully was only $1-$2. But not really too special.
