Great place for school field trips or family outing. But beware its not a cheap time. Plenty of things to enetertain young minds and get some well needed exercise in at the same time.

Very strong children's museum for ages 4-8 in particular (also incorporates activities for older and younger ones). Exhibits are well-spaced and well-maintained. Other highlights include a plexiglass "get in... More

Had a great time visiting amusement square with my four kids. Would have liked to have been able to spend more time in the painting area but they closed it down early. The play place entertained the kids for hours. We will be back!

This is one of the best children's museums I have ever visited. I love that it has something for all ages, from toddlers to upper elementary aged children. I also appreciate that it focuses on Lynchburg's history.

My nieces ages 1, 2, and 3 were entertained for 7 hours here! They have great exhibits including huge foam blocks, paint room, farm where you can "pick corn", river exhibit where you can float boats and open and close locks, and so much more. Some of the areas are specifically designed for 3 and under so the little kids... More

If you have children under 10, this is the place to go in Lynchburg. They will enjoy hours of play and amazement. They will actually enjoy learning new things.
