The Vineyards & Winery at Lost Creek is a 50-acre boutique winery...

The Vineyards & Winery at Lost Creek is a 50-acre boutique winery nestled in the rolling hills of Northern Virginia 10 minutes outside of historic Leesburg, Virginia. Tucked away between Route 15 and the Potomac River, Lost Creek Winery is a scenic destination that offers high-quality Virginia wines in a casual elegant atmosphere. Lost Creek's owners, Todd and Aimee Henkle, and consulting winemaker, Sebastien Marquet, are striving to show how great Virginia wines can be. Lost Creek's winemaking style is focused on Burgundy and Bordeaux style wines. These French varietals including Chardonnay, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Merlot and Petit Verdot produce beautiful fruit in Virginia. Lost Creek is focused on producing the highest quality wines, therefore all grapes are hand-picked and sorted to ensure only the highest quality fruit is used in Lost Creek's wine. After de-stemming and crushing, the wines are barrel aged in French oak barrels for 18 to 24 months, thus producing elegant yet complex style wines. All wines from Lost Creek are produced on-site in our winery and hand crafted from 100% Virginia grapes. Our fruit is harvested from our Estate Vineyard as well as from fruit in the Monticello Appellation just outside Charlottesville, Virginia.

We first stopped by Lost Creek about a year ago. We were impressed with the wines and the staff. What put them over the top for us is their membership. If you're a member, you have access to their private room and patio. The main area is very nice, but the members room is quieter and more comfortable. They do... More

We enjoyed our tasting here. The tasting room is cozy and warm with a nice fire place. Wines were interesting and staff was friendly. I enjoyed meeting the winery cat :-)

My mother and I stopped here while touring some wineries in the Loudoun County area. Lost Creek has a beautiful sitting area outside with a fountain. After sampling some wines we each got a glass of the Serenity and shared a cheese plate. Beautiful ambience at this winery!

My husband and another couple had an informative and happy visit a few weekends ago. It's worth the drive too. We tasted many wines and learned more about Virginia viticulture and the emergence of very good Virginia wines.

The tasting room is cozy and intimate. Their wines are solid, and don't disappoint, especially the fuller-bodied reds. While I didn't try any of the food, the options certainly looked great. I hear they pair with the Wine Kitchen in Leesburg.

First off, do not follow the maps app to get to this winery which is right off Spinks Ferry Road. After finally finding it, my friend and I had a fantastic tasting. Megan and Susan helped us out and were super friendly and knowledgeable. Since I was not a fan of Red wines, I got to try something different while... More

My cousin and I visited this winery very recently and we loved it! The landscape is gorgeous and the atmosphere is so relaxing. Inside the tasting room, we had the BEST hostess -- I think her name was Suzanne. She was so much fun and gave very nice tasting pours and definitely knew her stuff. After the tasting my, cousin... Wine is pretty good- we did purchase a couple bottles. The tasting / hostess were good (standard tasting couse). We ate lunch here... the coq au vin was ok. l really enjoyed my italian panini, and the soup of the day was good. Wait staff were really good! Best part for me was the surprise guest: Merlot the winery cat.... More

Tasting area tucked way back on the property after passing their Harvest House (special event building)and the vineyard. Nice place. The tasting room is quite welcoming and can't wait to come back and try the patio in a warmer day. Pourer was personable and knowledgeable and we loved the wines. Enjoyed glasses of the blush (Tranquility) and the Genesis Bordeaux-style... More

The driveway is long, but the hidden gem of a winery at the end of it makes the long, dusty, gravel road worth the drive! Upon driving up, the outside seating areas are the first thing we saw and they looked nice... offering nice views of their gardens/landscaping and nicely manicured areas where the seating was located. The tasting room... More
