Business model decision???
Mar 2021 • Couples
While the food menu is fantastic I have to question the wine menu/selling business model. The tasting menu of wines is definitely not enough to make me want to be a member. Plus unless you are local the theme seems to be that your money is not desired. I would gladly pay more per glass to try wines not on the tasting menu. But in this case you can’t even pay more for a glass of wine you might want to try as some/ most are not even available unless you are a club member. That severely limits sales of what are probably pretty good wines. Out of town people don’t even get to try. Barboursville, which is a renowned winery in Virginia, has no club but has a library tasting for an extra cost and makes a lot of money and followers because of this model. I personally buy several bottles of fine wine because it is not tied to a club membership business model. I recommend Lost Creek reconsider their business model. You are severely limiting your market.

Adventure out for a treat
Nov 2020
Signed up for a tasting. Be sure to follow the emailed directions, GPS takes you to a different entrance. Lots of parking. Plenty of tables spaced far apart. A nice drive out from the DC area. Nice staff. Plenty on the menu and a long list of wines to order from. No rush, so enjoy the wine, enjoy the day and enjoy the visit.

Five Stars!!

We stumbled upon this great little family-owned boutique winery yesterday. Lost Creek has a lovely farm-to-table menu. Wine tastings are provided at your private table. Loved the stylishly decorated indoor tasting room - it will be a great place to go in winter. The outdoor seating area was quiet and relaxing. The waitstaff were super friendly and very knowledgeable about the food and wine. This one is a keeper.

Outstanding tasting experience

A superb way to offer a 7-wine tasting. You sit at your table, and the bottle is brought to you at a leisurely pace. Very comfortable setting. Pleasant all the way around.

I really liked the feel of this place, it reminds me of our trip to France. The selection of wine was nice --we enjoyed the Genesis.
Overall a good experience, Katie was very knowledgable and friendly, I would recommend this as a good Winery experience.

Sunday afternoon enjoyment

This was my first visit at The Vineyards and Winery at Lost Creek. It’s probably my second favorite winery in Northern Virginia. The wine was spectacular and the cheese board was very good.

Just average but also expensive !
Mar 2019 • Couples
Went to this winery for a special event with wine tasting. It was very expensive and while the presentation was excellent there was a lot of things that could have made it better for the customer. First of all the road going to the winery is full of bad pot holes. Second we were left standing for 15 minutes last the official start time. Next, while the verbal presentation was excellent and the wines very tasty, there should have been some type of snack available from the start for the price that we paid. Very expensive! We would rate this experience as one that we would not return to because of the high cost.

WHOA! The PERFECT Sunday afternoon!!!
Feb 2019 • Couples
We decided to take a trip down to Lost Creek for lunch Sunday afternoon before the storm came in, and what a good decision that turned out to be! We had been here once before a couple of years ago, but didn't remember it being this good. Got a bottle of their Provenance red (primarily Cabernet based) to go with an order of tiger prawns, Ayrshire chicken, and braised ribs. WHOA! IT WAS ALL EXCEPTIONALLY OUTSTANDING!!! The inside decor had a VERY NICE ambience to it. Romantic lighting, fireplace, and super chill music playing in the background. The service was prompt, and the staff was very friendly to us. I have to say that we were QUITE IMPRESSED, and our wine choice wine was VERY GOOD, especially with those delicious ribs! We thoroughly enjoyed our time here, and HIGHLY recommend it! BRAVO! Virginia wine country really has something to be proud of here! We'll definitely be back!
