Keswick Vineyards is a family owned and operated winery situated on the historic Edgewood Estate. Owners Al and Cindy Schornberg chose this land to produce their award winning wines because of its unique terroir and beautiful scenery. Winemaker Stephen Barnard's philosophy is to focus on quality instead of quantity and produce the best wines possible. He has garnered numerous awards for Keswick's wines including the Virginia Governor's Cup for the 2007 Cabernet Sauvignon and Best of Class for the 2008 Viognier. Other varietals produced include Chardonnay, Cabernet Franc, Norton, Petite Verdot, Syrah, Touriga, and Verdejo. The tasting room is relaxing and inviting and is open daily for tastings from 9-5 excluding major holidays. During the summer, the tasting room will stay open until 6pm on Fridays and Saturdays.

Lovely staff. Very similar tasting wines to other nearby wineries - and all very good. The new sparkling ones were not great. The Petit Verdot, however was a real and surprising stand-out. Go here!

We happened on this winery as we traveled through the area. We enjoy visiting vineyards and wineries so we gladly stopped when we saw the signs. The vineyards make a beautiful entrance to the wine tasting building. It was a Friday morning and we luckily had the wine tasting room to ourselves. We were greeted as soon as we entered... More

The $10 tasting fee is one of the more expensive the area. It might have been palatable if it included the glass, but that was another $10. Wow, really?? The wines were ok, but we probably wouldn't have tried them if we knew the tasting fee was that high.

Lots of outdoor seating, the wines were good overall, tasting room is on the smaller side but they worked to fit in as many people as possible. View outside was relaxing. Plenty of parking. Many wineries are nearby so you can easily make an afternoon of it and visit others.

Meaghan, our pourer, was absolutely fantastic! Very knowledgeable, kind, fun and personable. Every wine we tasted was good. Nothing that made our faces turn down. If we lived closer, we'd be here all the time.

We were in the area and went to a number of wine tastings places. Although the person who waited on us here was friendly the cost for tastings for two was $30. The bottles of wines were also more expensive than other places. The grounds are beautiful but I did not feel that the friendliness and grounds made up for... More

Okay so the atmosphere of this place is awesome. Great outdoor seating with fans and umbrellas to shade you. You can try a tasting or get a bottle or glass and just chill. And the view and property are so pleasant. The negative side is this place only has dry wine. Not a bad thing, but I think variety is... More

I was blown away with our tasting here. First off, the woman who gave us the tasting was so enthusiastic and proud about Keswick and wine that it just rubbed off on me. I felt like swimming in a vat of grapes! She was extremely knowledgeable about wines and answered all of our questions. I'm not much of a red... More

Keswick has won the Governors Cup 3 of the last 4 years. They have some of the most complex and interesting wines in the Commonwealth. They also have a gorgeous property with areas for children, pets and even cigar smokers. They have a nice selection of cigars and can assist in pairing a cigar with their wines. They also have... This was a lovely way to spend a Saturday afternoon. There was music on the patio and tastings both inside and outside. The Viognier Reserve was excellent! Light and refreshing with honeysuckle and peach notes. Very nice. The view is nice and the atmosphere is unhurried. There's even a game of corn hole to play on the lawn.
