Keswick Vineyards is a family owned and operated winery situated on the historic Edgewood Estate. Owners Al and Cindy Schornberg chose this land to produce their award winning wines because of its unique terroir and beautiful scenery. Winemaker Stephen Barnard's philosophy is to focus on quality instead of quantity and produce the best wines possible. He has garnered numerous awards for Keswick's wines including the Virginia Governor's Cup for the 2007 Cabernet Sauvignon and Best of Class for the 2008 Viognier. Other varietals produced include Chardonnay, Cabernet Franc, Norton, Petite Verdot, Syrah, Touriga, and Verdejo. The tasting room is relaxing and inviting and is open daily for tastings from 9-5 excluding major holidays. During the summer, the tasting room will stay open until 6pm on Fridays and Saturdays.

Older place in need of an update. Wines were good but almost all bottles were $32-$40 and some were far above that. Napa pricing but not warranted to my palate. Servers were nice.

This was our favorite vineyard of the three we visited. The wine was the best and there was a nice, relaxed patio outside to enjoy flights of wine. We were fortunate there was a food truck that day with great snacks. Wish we could have stayed longer!

Wish we would of spent more time there... we were in a mission to hit 3 wineries before closing time. It seemed like a place that we would typically spent a lot time at it: where the locals hangout. The wine tasting was pleasant and our server was very knowledgeable. We definitely will stop back again.

A wonderful setting for a magical wedding. The views of the vineyard with the mountains as a backdrop create a beautiful scene for an outdoor wedding. The mansion is like something out of Gone with the Wind.

We were brought here by friends who live locally. It was a gorgeous late fall day and so we sat outside where we tried some of the local wines which were excellent. We ordered a platter of local cheeses. It was a very pleasant couple of hours. Our friends took home a couple of cases of the local wine. There... More

The best part of this vineyard may be the drive to get there. It's breathtakingly scenic and the tasting room has an inviting outdoor seating area. The wine is mostly good. Not intimidating.

Keswick does a vineyard right! The drive in is absolutely gorgeous with its winding driveway and beautiful duck filled pond with rowboat sitting on the shore. When you come to the semi-fork in the road, the left will take you to the Georgian style estate home where the weddings are held. Worth the drive to see....absolutely stunning and great spot... An excellent, but little known, vineyard not far from Charlottesville. Tasting was excellent and the tasting hostess was extremely knowledgeable, so we got an education in addition to some excellent wines. Lovely setting so you can enjoy the lovely scenery as well as the wines. Highly recommended.

Keswick was a pleasant surprise on a mixed day of visiting wineries in the Monticello AVA. Keswick is a smaller winery that focuses on making quality Viognier and Cabernet Franc. Tasting room - small friendly tasting room. The person who poured for us was very knowledgeable and spent sufficient time telling us about the winery and the wines. Wines -... More

We recently visited while celebrating our wedding anniversary. There was the third vineyard of the day, and we definitely saved the best for last! Our hostess was incredibly pleasant, accommodating, and interesting to talk to. All of the wines were wonderful, even more impressive because most of them were fairly young. After the tasting we each had a glass of... More
