Wonderful history. Although we arrived shortly after hours, we were greeted by a kind gentleman who encouraged us to enjoy walking around the grounds and to come back during operating hours for a full tour.
Restored church with guided tours and a small interactive museum. Presents a view of early colonial life and times on the great neck of Virginia and information on the Carter Family and their extensive holdings. Must see if you are into architecture or history

We arrived after hours and so were not able to get inside the church or museum. However we did walk around the grounds and were impressed with the beauty and symmetry of the church architecture.

Although officially closed for the winter, Robert opened the doors to this beautiful church and enthusiastically shared its history, making this stop delightfully informative.
Very cool to look at and see from the inside and out. Take a walk through the cemetery to see all the old headstones before you leave
