If you're a sweet white wine drinker as I am, I can tell you that their dessert wines are probably what you would drink on a daily basis, and I'm personally cool with that. Not hyper sweet, so definitely something you can drink whenever. The grounds are pretty and staff are friendly, so can't really ask for anything more than that.

I'm on the fence with Desert Rose. I really want to like it. Their peach sangria was delicious and the girls working there are some of the friendliest I've met. But we felt jilted by their stingy pours for the wine tasting flight which was $15.... not cheap. They advertise it as 2 ounce pours and while I think the tiny cup is 2 ounces, what we received was closer to 1 ounce. They did a good job of social distancing tables and cleaning after patrons. Also the employees were wearing their masks correctly, which was nice.

Our first time here and first impression was definitely a good one. The tasting was enjoyable. Two of their selections, “Sparky” and “Wild Seed,” were our favorites. Would like to return when we have more time for a longer visit.

We visited the winery on a beautiful day. The person who did our tasting was friendly and enthusiastic about the wines. The overall feel of the place was nice. Unfortunately, there wasn't really the warm and welcoming feeling others described. And importantly, after visiting 2 other wineries that day where we bought some wines we liked, we did not like any of these enough to buy a bottle. So, not a bad review, but not great either.

I liked the atmosphere of Desert Rose and the tasting had a couple wines I really enjoyed. However, the cheapest bottle was $26 - not the most expensive VA winery, but still a little pricey to me. I enjoyed chatting a little with the lady who did our tasting and looking around the tasting room. Overall it was very nice.

We appreciate the visit and response. We do have some other wines that are less expensive but they are not always on the tasting menu. Regards Bob
