We cancelled a trip to St. Thomas due to logistical challenges and at the last minute booked some rooms at The Homestead. With six kids, traveling and logistics are always a challenge, but the staff at The Homestead, from reservations to house cleaning, were awesome....More

Having stayed at other upscale resorts, The Biltmore, Grove Park Inn and Greenbrier, I was prepared to sit in a chair and relax while waiting to check out; but nothing could have been further from the truth during our wonderful Thanksgiving spent at The Homestead....More

Beautiful hotel soaring out of the mountains. That is, you drive and drive asking where on Earth am I going and then all the sudden - boom - the Omni Homestead appears. What an absolutely gorgeous setting and when you think of all the history,...More

Such a gorgeous location, so classically beautiful with wonderful furnishing and decor. However, this morning I took a cold shower, as did many people staying near us. One of two elevators is not working, making it difficult to get up and down with a conference...More

My wife and I had a pleasant stay here. It is a wonderful old resort with a historic feel. We had stayed before and this visit met our expectations. Very friendly, helpful staff. Outstanding food. Lots to do but expensive. Great place to relax. We...More

My husband and I just spent two nights at The Homestead. We had been there 20 years ago and it was wonderful. This time - not so much. Pros - beautiful setting, town in walking distance, room a nice size, bed ultra-comfortable. Cons - 1....More

I surprised my wife with a four night getaway to the Homestead Resort for her birthday. I was able to get an outstanding rate for the room on line. Granted when we arrived at the resort and assigned our room, we found our view to...More

This is my 4th visit to the Homestead and the service keeps getting worse! I've always loved this place but it's unreasonably awful. Bar service takes forever, we paid $75 for pool service that didn't exist and the spa we paid for and didn't even...More

Room was nice. I tend to notice little things like, paint splatters on floor, tops missing from top of door hinges, doors with dirty fingerprints on them, shower water temperature being erratic, dirty AC ducts in the room, windows painted shut. Most of the fancy...More

Yes you have access to all the amenities. I have not been to the Greenbrier, so I can't comment on that. We noticed changes when Omni took over but we will return. The owners homes have shuttles that take you around.
