Just returned from a three-day family trip to The Homestead and could not have been more pleased. It is exactly what it advertises: a very nice, historic hotel in the country with numerous family-friendly activities. You do get the sense you are traveling back in time while there, not only because the hotel is now 250 years old, but because... More

If you're looking for a modern luxury hotel than this place is not for you. As with any older building, floors aren't level and some things are showing some wear. Pros: Cake and tea are served in the main hall everyday (complimentary), Brian La Fountain is a wealth of knowledge and gives super interesting nature talks/walks that are great for... More

I purchased a gift certificate for a weekend at the Homestead at a charity auction thinking it would be a fun retreat for the family whenever we needed to get away. When I called the resort to make the reservation (mind you, I'm an Omni Preferred Guest), and looked to redeem the certificate, I was told over the phone that... More

We recently stay at the resort. My husband had a conference and I went along for some relaxation. I had a great time with the exception of my visit to The Sam Snead restaurant. I will definitely be back at the resort but I'll skip that restaurant.

We selected the Homestead for a family get-away confident that there would be plenty of activities for everyone which proved correct. We were fortunate to arrive 3 January to enjoy the gorgeous Christmas decorations. Although the hotel is celebrating the 250th anniversary this year the hotel is nicely maintained and the staff very solicitous Tea and cake in the grand... More

The Homestead is truly one of those properties that's worth a look-see, even if you cannot afford to stay there or simply cannot find the time. Now in it's 250th year, it's a beautiful location nestled in the mountains featuring relaxation, hiking trails, golf, dining, and more. There's a small guest parking lot to the right as you enter the... More

The Homestead is a special place, and on our first visit for a big birthday we had a lovely time. My favorites were the mineral spring fed indoor pool (in fine condition and over a century old, pleasant for relaxation and warm for heavy lap swimming), the rustic colonial era Jefferson Pool in Warm Spring a few minutes north, and... My Wife and I have been going to the Homestead for many years, sometimes 4 times a year. It started as our get away to hide form everyone. Privacy at the Homestead is a given not something you need request. We started our stays before the huge renovations in 2013ish and we stay after the Renovations. This review will cover... More

My family returns to The Homestead every summer when the kids get out of school. There is no reason to leave the resort as everything you could possibly want is on site! Lazy river is our favorite. Shooting range, horseback riding, off road biking, s'mores - in the most stunningly beautiful historic hotel. Traditional High Tea in the lobby every... More

Wife and I enjoyed a weekend trip to the Omni Homestead. Had been 3+ years - before Omni purchased - and several updates since our last trip. Fewer places to eat without reservation, but still good food and wonderful relaxation. Beautiful place to spend quality time with family and friends.
