So, several years ago we watched the series of HGTV's show that highlighted the building of this tasting room, as well as how they went about learning and building the vineyard. We have waited a few years to finally give them a try, hoping their vines and wines would have matured by now. We visited on a Saturday in July,... More

A great casual winery- really made me feel welcome. Staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. Wine is really good. Do not generally find I like all the wine on a tasting menu but I like all their wines. Great place for a picnic (wonderful outdoor space), they allow outside food, or for a family gathering- upstairs space is great with... More

The winery itself was very cute. Looks like a fun place to hang out, inside and out. The wines were OK. The idea of pairing with music is interesting, but I think they could do more with it, play the music or talk it up more. Service was OK.

I really love the idea of pairing wine with music. I think it's really cute. In fact, there was an awesome acapella group performing when I was there which really added to the experience. This place is beautiful inside AND out so I enjoyed it even with the chilly weather I experienced. The service was lovely and I definitely took... More

Stopped by on an early Sunday morning in April. Set in a beautiful handcrafted home, the tasting room has views overlooking open fields and vineyards. It must look amazing in the fall. The hostess was very pleasant and so were the wines. I remember liking three of them very much. A nice setting to hear some live music while you... More

Tucked away down a dirt road this winery is a hidden surprise. The owners are musicians and wine lovers. They add their spin onto VA wines by linking them to different types of music. Some could see this as a gimmick but the wines can hold their own on taste alone. They where not busy and our party had a... More

Beautiful house and landscaping but the wines are sub par. I had a hard time finishing the tasting. The tasting room/bar area seemed a little odd - like I was at someone's house. I guess they live there but walking through the seemingly personal dining room to get to the rest room was a bit odd. Just not for me... More

Stephen and Shannon Mackey have created a wonderful experience, where they have paired wine with music. Stephen is one of the few winemakers to bring Blaufrankish grapes to Virginia, and you just have to try his "Y'all make me blush" . The tasting room doubles as the family kitchen and dining area after all have gone for the day, and... More

Great little spot with an interesting vibe. They have interesting musical events and good food. The wine is good and adds to the vibe of the place. I really recommend attending one of their special events put on by Stage Coach Theater.
