A break from stress....
Oct 2019 • Solo
Definitely would recommend taking a break and visiting Tranquility Day Spa in Haymarket, Virginia. I walked in a terribly fatigued, worn down woman and left with a youthful glow! Great experience from start to finish! The staff are warm and friendly, the environment tranquil and price is reasonable and comparative. I made my follow up appointment as soon as I could!!
I am hooked!!

Very talented hair stylists, comfy chairs but prices continue to be quite high. Not sure service worth the prices since there are currently no less expensive’ junior stylists. Manicure/Pedicure prices very high. Somewhat heavily Christian orientation with books and presentations offered. May be taking on too many non core initiatives.

Just OK but wouldn't go back

i had a gift card for here so my girlfriend and i wanted to do a couples massage. after repeatedly trying to make appointments online i finally called them up. i don't think their website is enabled for appointments and so i don't know why its a feature on there! anyhow, it was tough to get our appointments together but i finally worked something out with the lady on the phone. the spa is located on the third floor of a retail space building. wasn't hard to find at all.

when you walk in 2 desks are right in front of you, a retail counter is on the right and then i guess you can walk over to a hair salon next door? it was a rather odd set up. the reception we got when we arrived was less than friendly for some reason. we were greeted but it wasn't a warm welcome by any means.

we were led the few steps into the waiting area. i saw water and teas but we weren't offered anything while we filled out our paperwork. it wasn't a long wait and then my masseuse met me and led me into the room right there. it was close to the front of the salon so you do hear some noise and people talking in between the music. i'm not even going to mention that our couples massage was not in the same room. at this point i was pretty glad i had only booked a half hour.

i changed and laid down and enjoyed the heated bed. they charged $15 for aromatherapy! sad that wasn't included. my masseuse was not friendly and did not talk to me, which is fine, but i do like being asked if i liked the pressure. i didn't as it was just more of a rub down without focusing on the elements of actual massage. my 7 year old niece gives a more effective massage! the lotion wasn't warm and had no fragrance. at any rate, i tried to just relax and enjoy what i was there for. but i definitely didn't get any sort of muscular or mental benefits from it.

when time was up she just stopped and said she would meet me outside. i wasn't told how fast i had to do that so i did enjoy a few minutes on my heated bed to do some quick meditation. when i walked out i waited for my girlfriend who was finishing up. at this point. i was given a lemon water and a hot neck pillow. when my girlfriend came out we sat for maybe a minute more together. we were ready to go.

we checked out at the same reception desk and it was a little friendlier but not by much. i looked around the gift shop and tested some products but was never approached for questions or assistance. so no sales from me! i walked back over to the reception desk and we were asked if we wanted to make our next appointment. uh. no.

i've gone to much better places than this and feel my 3 star rating is a generous score. it wasn't poor service but it was barely average really. for the prices you pay here i can name a handful of other places that i love much more.

Relaxing spa in a beautiful ornate mansion but it was difficult to locate. Massage was good but not great.

Its taken me 10 years to find a new salon I love and today I found it. Everyone is so nice and so friendly. My hair stylist was amazing. I wasn't sure about what color highlights I wanted to get so I gave her free reign to do whatever and I am so happy with the results.

I will definitely be returning.

Favorite place for my haircut

Tranquility is the only place I will go to get my hair done. I started at the Manassas location and have moved with Christine each time she changed locations, but always with Tranquility. The owners are good people who have made every effort to insure a relaxing experience regardless of the treatment for which you come. My very favorite thing is the head massage during hair wash! Wonderful!!!
