We couldn’t have been more pleased…Captain Hogg and Brett were awesome!! We had never been on a fishing charter before and they were so friendly and helpful. They made sure we had a great time and caught fish. The weather wasn’t perfect and the water was a little rough…several members of our group ended up having difficulty with motion sickness….both Captain Hogg and Brett could not have been nicer and more understanding. I’m grateful. We had a great time and cannot wait to go back. Thank you!

Excellent Charter. Went in July - had 6 people on the boat all our group. Had an excellent time spade fish fishing, and cobia that was a few inches short of keeping. Boat was well maintained, and very safe. Great professional crew, and a beautiful day on the water. Will be back again on our next trip to Hampton Roads.

I purchased a 5hr charter for my husbands birthday in Aug 24. Captain Brett and his ship mate were great! They were sensitive to our needs and restrictions. We caught a lot of fish. My husband even caught a 20+ pound Black Drum. It was great. They were friendly, professional and funny. It was a great trip. We've told everyone we know and look forward to doing this again!

First rate fishing with Capt Hoggs! We had a great time, caught plenty of fish (Black Drum, Trout, Whiting, Spanish Mackerel and Bluefish. Brett was great on the deck all day keeping us going with never a line issue he couldn't resolve quickly. Everyone caught something and I brought home at least 5lbs of cleaned fish. Will go with this team again! Capt knows where the fish are!

Captain Hogg always goes above and beyond to put his clients on the fish. I appreciate his honesty about fishing and weather reports, and I like how he makes his charter trips fun for both kids and adults.

My son Miles (16) and I were in the area for Spring Break and wanted to try a Charter. We found Captain Hogg and fingers crossed arrived promptly at 7am. A little overcast but still a fabulous morning for fishing out on the majestic Chesapeake Bay.
What a treat! Captain Hogg & his first mate make you feel both like royalty & family. The boat is powerful, comfortable, and ideal for fishing 360. Every possible fishing need we had was met with knowledge, equipment, and preparation. My son and I are hardly expert fisherman - but they provided us with direction and tips, and encouraged every bait we dropped to deliver. And guess what? Ultimately the fish found the nets! We caught a bunch over the limit, and a few we returned for future anglers'.
I always remember to tell myself (and remind my son) it's called fishing, not catching. So much is luck. But after this trip with the experienced Captain Hogg, I concluded the expertise provided by his team had a heck of a lot to do with our success. I absolutely recommend this Charter experience to those who fish professionally, and especially for those who are more like my son and I. It's an unforgettable experience - and I would rate it "5 stars". For anyone looking for a special day fishing the Chesapeake Bay, reserve a spot with Captain Hogg.

Our family of 4 (kids ages 13 and 9) had a fabulous time with Captain Hogg and his first mate, Ed, last Tuesday, July 29th. When our previous charter fell through, we were able to make last minute arrangements on Captain Hogg's charter.
The 4 of us had the entire 40 foot boat to ourselves. We cruised out for about 30 minutes to the Bridge-Tunnel area then trolled for fish, followed by some bottom fishing, then some fishing with bobbers. We all caught fish and Captain Hogg was very attentive to move us around so we could be successful.
His first mate Ed was really nice to the kids and on-top of keeping the poles in the water, grabbing the fish at the end of the line...then fileting up what we wanted on the trip back. It was a great 5 hours that the boys will remember for a long time.
Captain Hogg's boat is very comfortable, lots of seating inside (2 benches) which is open to the back and under shade. The "head" is clean. Bring your own food and drinks and enjoy a wonderful day.
Tell them the folks from San Diego say "hello."

Fished with Capt Hogg today had a blast caught some flounder,triggerfish,and a nice over redfish.Been with other Captains in the bay he is by far the best.

As a former Charter Captain, know a great trip. Capt Hogg and Brett are truly professionals and will give a really great day of fishing. Will certainly go with them again.

Captain Chandler and Brett were awesome! From the minute we dropped our lines in the water we were catching fish, and continued to catch fish for the next couple of hours! Spadefish, 70 lb red drum, bluefish, Cobia, and more Spanish mackerel than we could handle! We will definitely be using them again in the future! Thank you to both of them for an awesome day!

Is this an expensive trip? It is just two of us and I know that most of them charge by group size.
