Will be heading back there this fall for Phish tour. Staff are super friendly. The general admission seating makes it one of my favorites. Get in there and listen to some great music.

Had a great time at the concert held at Hampton Coliseum. Our hotel location was great as we were able to park and walk back and forth for each night of the concert.

Here for two D&C shows in November. I've been to lots and lots of shows and these was among the most disorganized poorly run arenas I've seen. Somewhat surprising as I have fond memories of this place from the 80s.
It started from the get go. We were on line a full hour before showtime and yet still missed the beginning of the show. They had one door open and just a few security lanes for thousands of people. The bathrooms were dirty and crowded (way more crowded than similar arenas in other cities). Seating was somewhat tight. Staff was relatively rude, or at least curt - certainly not friendly.
It seemed to be one of these situations where they had our money so why even try to provide something approximating good (or even adequate) service. Other than the shows being good, there is nothing about this arena to make me want to come back. Sadly, I probably will and there's the rub. There's absolutely no incentive for this place to improve their service. None. The jerks..

Our first time here for two shows. The acoustics were good and the music excellent. Seemed like there wasn't a bad seat in the house. The bathrooms need help, though. Overall I am glad I experienced the Mothership :)

This is a great venue for larger acts and musicians. The parking lots and sidewalks typically have good vendors too.

I was impressed with the ease of parking and entering the venue. Organized and uneventful. It's a smaller venue so I don't think there are any bad seats. They have the monitors for viewing. Sound quality was good. I was impressed with the way the equipment was pre-set and moved right into place for the next performer. The only downside they do not have elevators, but they did have golf carts available to assist those who may have needed them. Seats are hard plastic not the most comfortable but definitely not a deal breaker.

It was my 1st time attending the Coliseum for any event and it wasn't bad. The seats are roomy (not comfy). The steps are super STEEP. If you're not super cautious, you could hurt yourself. I sat in Mezz Q, section 18, seat 3. It wasn't bad from a side view and widescreen. Enjoyed the performers and would attend again.
Parking: well, good luck. That can be a nightmare with any large event but it was orderly.

Love the shape of it with the multicolored lights at night. It desperately needs some updating; however, and could be larger to attract more events.

Is the parking lot big enough for a sold out show? Or am I likely to get turned away if I can't arrive early?
I am thinking about purchasing tickets for between the sheets tour in section a row 4 or section c row 2 for floor tickets . I'm not sure which one is closer & would like to know which seats would be better?

Sounds like section C row 2 is going to be closer. With all my years of attending concerts at the Hampton Coliseum, sections a, b, and c on the floor are the closest, and row 4 versus row 2...the second row puts you right in front of the stage. Go for row 2. I would.
