I'm quite sure that different people want different things out of this tour ... local history, an up close view of aircraft carriers, a little wildlife spotting, and access to Fort Wool are the ones that immediately come to mind. My husband, our adult daughter, and I went on this tour last weekend without any particular agenda because we were... More

My wife and I took this tour with our daughter and three grandchildren, ages 10 to 12. The two boys loved it, the girl was not that impressed. Check-in and payment went smoothly in an excellent gift shop, where we were told that we couldn't bring food or drink aboard (except for toddlers' sippie cups), as they have an excellent... More

We took this cruise a week ago and are sooooo glad we did! We had a great time and the tour guide was extremely knowledgable and fun to listen to. Thank you so much! And it is very reasonably priced!

A '3 hour tour' as they say, but loaded with history of the area. The full time historical narration really made this a great thing to do. Our speaker, Jim, was really knowledgable about the areas history, and the stop and tour of Cook Island made it better. It departed on time 11:00, and returned at 2:00 so you got... More

We highly recommend this. The staff were very helpful with our special mobility needs. The tour narrator, Jim, was interesting and knowledgeable. Because the Hampton Roads is such an interwoven complex of cities, military installations and waterways, I suggest this tour for an early "get acquainted" of one's visit.

This tour was a great way to refresh your knowledge of the American history of the area. Our guide, a very enthusiastic Virginian and a retired Navy veteran, was very fluent with is factoids which were very detailed. The weather, which was just about perfect, allowed a stop on the Fort Wool island. I would recommend this to anyone that... More

We cruised on a rather windy day, but the temp didnt become uncomfortable until the return trip, which was at a faster speed. No problem, though. We just went downstairs, where there is more protection and a heater as well. For civil war history fans, this is for you as you see and explore by disembarking at Ft Wool and... More

This was an amazing cruise. Herb, our tour guide was great! We learned so much about the area. It was a perfect weather day. 82 and sunny. The boat was clean and all the people on it were so accommodating. We got to see Naval ships and a submarine that were docked there. This made my trip! We had a... More

Besides the cool weather the cruise was amazing. The tour guide is very knowledgable in the history of the area. Because of rough waters we were not allowed to dock and tour Fort Wool which was a disappointment. I was amazed at how close we got to the ships at Norfolk. Once again the guide was knowledgeable about the ships... More
