A very nice air and space museum. A small collection of aircraft and space hardware, but a good number of interactive learning experiences. An IMAX showing is included in the admission.

This is a place you must see in Hampton. It defines Hampton and our history with space exploration. Really fun for the children, lots to see and do for all ages. The movie theatre inside is also worth going to. As an adult, I found trying to fly a spacecraft very challenging. A definite MUST for visiting Hampton Roads area.

There is so much history at the Virginia Air and Space Center. I not only went once, but went back to see more the next day. Well worth a visit especially if you have out of town visitors as they probably have nothing like this in the area they live. I look forward to going back again this year with... More

This is such a great place. They have static and traveling displays. Interactive for kids and adults. You can see some amazing planes. There are stairs and an elevator, so it's easy to get around. Nice view from their sky deck. View of downtown and the river. They offer classes and camps throughout the day, and educational lectures at night.... More

This was our first visit and we had a great time. There are many historic artifacts from the early days of flight and space flight. There are tons of things to see and experience. It is a great venue, highly recommend, especially if you grew up in the 60's and remember the early days of space flight.

We chose to see the Robots IMAX 3D to start our journey!! Fun for the whole family! Incredible and amazing! Love Michelle talking about electricity! She was so knowledgeable and fun and loves PUNS!! Made kids learn while having fun! You can tell she loves working there.

This is really a museum catering to the very young >6 and early-teen (11-14). There area number of interactive exhibits. Young kids can build things with blocks while older kids can read and do some of the basic experiments. Parents are mildly amused, but mostly help their kids. It has an attached Imax Theater which is very nice. You can... More
