I had come here with some hesitation after reading bad reviews about the service here, especially when crowded or later in the day. So we stopped in Sunday morning at 11 to a thankfully sparse tasting room. I've seen complaints about the ridiculous length of...More

Beautiful building and cheap tasting fee, but neither of us liked any of the wines. They give you a list of wines and you pick which you want to try sushi style. First pourer was filling in from cash register and did not know much...More

Beautiful building and grounds. Looks like they host a lot of cool events. Server was very knowledgeable. I only tried the dry reds, and there were quite a few to choose from. Clean restrooms, small gift shop, very nice staff!

Watch out you get 10 tastings for 6 dollars! The servers explain all the wines so well. We had to walk around before we could leave, lol. Definitely a must for wine lovers! We are taking a case with us!!

We were visiting in the Charlottesville area and decided to stop at Horton winery. It's not a huge place but the people working there were friendly and we enjoyed the tasting. The building and surrounding vineyards were nice.

Having visted dozens of other wineries in the area, we stopped to check out Horton and won't be back. The tasting room is extremely dated, wine is sub-par, and wine pourers aren't as knowledgable as they are at other vineyards. $6 does get you a...More
