If you are lucky enough to find yourself in Front Royal, Virginia, then a trip to Chester Gap Cellars is well worth a trip. If you enjoy wine, white or red, you will not be disappointed in Chester Gap Cellars. They are pouring superb whites, gorgeous reds and one of our favorites the 2013 Cuvee Manseng. We purchased Chardonnay Reserve,... More

My wife and I went early and were the first ones there so we had the whole place to ourselves. We loved the wines and bought a bottle of one of the whites. We typically are not VA wine fans and were impressed here!

While this is a beautiful spot and we enjoyed our time sipping wine and chatting on the deck, most of the wines we tasted were not very good.

We stopped at Chester Gap Cellars at the recommendation of another winery. We are so glad to have the time to speak to Bern, about his time spent on the vineyards. The wine was very nice, and the conversation excellent. We were the only ones there, so we had a nice time learning about the wines and some of the... More

This winery has one of the absolute best views in the region. The tasting room is on the smaller side but they have a nice big deck looking out over Chester Gap. They also grow on some unique terrain. Definitely worth a visit if you're in a small group!

Our host Hannah was very informative explaining the wines! Very friendly place! This was our very first stop of the day and I was glad we started with such a wonderful host!

The wines will surprise you at this small winery which might be short on frills but pours some noteworthy wines, the quality of which you'll fine very good and not just good for a Virginia wine but good period.

We stopped in on a Friday afternoon when there was no other customers there. The younger girl working really didn't seem interested in serving us. She was yawning the entire time and walked away rather than talk in between pours. When she poured one wine, she simply poured it and walked off without even saying what the wine was or... More

We did a tasting and the wine was pretty good. Not a good place if you're into a more luxury experience though.

We had a great tasting experience with a knowledgeable and friendly host. We purchased the viogner and a cab franc which were both delicious. Loved the information about growing and preparation.
