Chateau Morrisette Winery and Restaurant is known for its quality Virginia wines, its scenic location along the Blue Ridge Parkway, its Black Dog Music Festivals and other special events, as well as its top-notch fine dining restaurant. The winery is open 7-days a week and offers wine tastings for $8 per person (for $2 more you may keep the souvenir glass). The tasting includes a tour of our winery. The Chateau Restaurant is open Wed-Thu 11-2, Fri - Sat 11-8, and Sun 11-4. Open for lunch everyday in October. Guests may purchase wine by the bottle or glass and spend time relaxing in our courtyard, in a private gazebo, or from our terrace overlooking the scenic New River Valley. Live entertainment is offered every Sunday afternoon, June through October and we invite guests to check our website for the many special events we produce throughout the year.

First thing, DO NOT USE GPS to get there. Go to the website and get directions. The GPS will send you down dead end dirt roads. Now to the winery. Very nice staff and very knowledgeable about their product. Good prices too. Tour was informative and so was the tasting. Pay the extra 2 bucks and get the glass.

Chateau Morriset is more than just a great winery. They also have a fine restaurant and, in the Summer, they have wine and cheese with live music on Sundays. A visit to the Chateau is a relaxing way to take on the Blue Ridge and it has the added benefit of being just a few miles from Floydfest. Only downside:... More

We visit several times a year for special occasions and just to get away for a day. The food, wine and service are the best. Casual dress but elegant service in a beautiful setting with gorgeous views. And of course a visit to the on-site winery is a must.

We ordered the Chambourcin online to enjoy for the holidays! Some of the wines are hit or miss just as with any winery, but CHAMBOURCIN is AMAZING!!! We are ordering more immediately. A fantastic wine at a fantastic price! You must visit this place as it's fabulous. Ignore the rude reviews...anything can go wrong at a large, special event and... More

Thank you for taking the time to write such a nice review. I'm glad you enjoyed the Chambourcin. We will be bottling 2014 Chambourcin in May and available for purchase in late summer. I hope you will enjoy it as well. I also appreciate your comments about Holiday Open House. The first weekend was extremely overcrowded and very hard to... More

Gourmet cuisine served in a rustic castle-like setting next to the winery. Outside dining available.

Thanks for the comments and for the very favorable rating. Our restaurant hours will change for the winter months, Jan-Mar and we will just be open on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. The winery will be open daily for tastings, tours and shopping. The winter months are a beautiful time to visit us here on the Blue Ridge Parkway. More

Thanks for the very nice review and rating. Our wine tastings are offered daily year round. Guests may chose the $8 tasting or for $2 more, a tasting and the souvenir glass. The bouncing labradors on the glass make it very popular. These glasses are priced at $6.99 without the tasting, so it's always a good deal to purchase the... More

Thank you for the excellent dinner and the anniversary gift of the delicious dessert, paired with the tasty dessert wines. The servers were friendly and efficient. We felt so special and enjoyed every bite. For 25 years, we have made visits from NC to the winery restaurant and have always had good service and good food.

I’m a Kennel Club member at Chateau Morrisette. I always found it to be a wonderful place to enjoy with friends. They have a good selection of wine, an amazing restaurant and a gorgeous spot on the Blue Ridge Parkway. However, this past opening weekend was horrible, and I won’t be returning. We went to check in as members and... More
