Fun for a weekend tasting with their entertainment

They have tastings of wine and olive oil with oven fired pizza and other weekend offerings. Sometimes entertainment.

Villa Appalaccia offers my favorite finds. It's not over populated with tourists, those that come are there for the savory exploration, views and Italian revelry. The Bocce court and italian style courtyard were favorites of ours.

This hidden gem is well worth the visit and was beyond impressed. The ambiance is an experience to Italy without the passport. The wines are amazing. Go for the reserve tasting. You won't have these wines anywhere else in the Virginia area. Get the cheeseboard too. It's a lunch and a half. We saw three other couples/families, including ourselves walk... More

Good tastings, good wine , and beautiful setting. Good hosts, family operated vineyard and winery on the Blue Ridge Parkway. Well worth a stop!

An amazing winery its not the easiest to find but worth it when you do. Skip the old wineries in the area as they have truly went downhill. This place truly shows off the great wines, you will not be disappointed.

We were in the Meadows of Adam area for the weekend to visit wineries and local attractions. 3 locals told us we couldn't leave until we visited Villa Appalaccia. We love Italian wines so we decided to visit. This venue is right off the Blue Ridge Parkway. There is outside seating some under a portico area and some on the... More

If you are looking for a commercial, pretentious East Coast winery, keep driving along the Blue Ridge Parkway to find such. But if you want to find unique wines with an Italian flair as Sangiovese, Aglianico & Corvina, blend combinations that are harder to pronounce than drink and both a sparkling white and a 'just for fun' sparkling red, ~... Very small winery off the Blue Ride Parkway. The wines were excellent and the building was surrounded with beautiful landscaping with outdoor seating areas. Nice visit!

We thoroughly enjoyed the drive from Claytor Lake, stopped in Floyd for a quick visit on the way back. Great wine and scenic views.
