DuCard has a beautiful tasting room, as do many Virginia wineries. Personally, I prefer their wines as they are more full bodied and complex than pretty much any others. The hostess was very nice and we had the place to ourselves since we arrived at...More

This is a great stop while on a winery tour in VA! We loved the wines - especially the Rose - and if you're an electric car driver you'll appreciate the car charging stations!

Thanks for visiting. Actually, Virginia's Gold Medal wineries (we're one) are competing favorably with California. We don't want to be Napa - but maybe more like Sonoma - as a beautiful, rural and low key region for wine tourism ! Cheers, Scott.

The wine tasting quickly soured when Rick, the pourer, knocked over a bottle of red wine spilling it all over my just-purchased white linen pants. Rick and Scott Elliff, Proprietor, stood there offering no recompense and clearly waiting for me to just walk away. There...More
