The beach is located on the South side of the island and can be accessed by local bus and hire vehicle. Our bus stop from Adamas was situated next to Yankos at the port and they run quite regularly during the summer season. The beach has good accessibility by car with several places for parking, although do expect it to get full during July and August.
This beach is a long strip of clean golden sand, with a strip of small pebbles at the shoreline, that is sheltered from the wind by the most picturesque high cliffs. It was the spectacular colours of these cliffs that drew me to this beach in the first place.
There is very little shade here so you’ll want to either rent a straw umbrella with sun loungers or bring your own. Don't try to walk barefoot around this place as the sand does get very hot, so bring water shoes or sandals. The beach slopes steeply, so it takes just a few steps to get into the crystal clear waters. The water is cool and refreshing, except where you find hot springs bubbling up from the sea bed due to the volcanic nature of the island. So bring your snorkels and watch the bubbles rising up, also there’s quite a few fish around but watch out for the little ones about 6 foot in as they nip your feet. The beach has good facilities and with three restaurants close by. The restaurant 'Sirocco' all the way to the right, offers 'Volcanic Food', where they cook in the volcanic hot sand. The Pelagos Taverna was very good with beach service for food and drinks. The staff wore facemasks and ensured the beds were clean for guests. If you fancy something a little more adventurous you can hire Jet skis, paddle boards and canoes on the beach.
Overall, if you want picture postcard scenery with a good beach and decent facilities it is well worth the trip to one of the best beaches on Milos.

We visited Paleochori beach 3 times in 5 days in Milos, after being visiting many beaches. The beach is very long, about 1 km. Due to the measures ( corona virus), the beach was completely empty, which we liked a lot. The waters were crystal, clear, clean , blue , typical Greek and cold. Really wonderful. You can park and walk to the left part of the beach, where nobody is, you can be naked if you want. The Scirocco restaurant is famous for cooking few dishes in the warm sand, but unfortunately is
NOT that Greek anymore. Pity... And of course more expensive than it was and it should. Quality great, fast and super friendly service.

Super clean beach on the south part of the island meaning it's usually not as windy. There is a small taverna (Pelagos) on the left where one can rent beach beds and umbrellas from and can get food and beverages till sunset.
The beach is a mix of fine sand and pebbles. Buses run there from Adamas town very often during the summer season. Timetables are available online.
Overall a lovely beach. Not to be missed by any visitor.

Luckily we had visited this beach when we first arrived on Milos and found it a beautiful secluded spot at Deep Blue.
When towards the end of our holiday the wind got up and the sea was ruff on the north side we went back and was sheltered by the high cliffs. Also at Deep Blue very good beach service fir food and drinks.
Just lie back, relax and take the occasional dip. Bliss

Clear deep water with a sandy beach with pebbles. We loved our stay at Paliochori beach when we stayed at Artemis Deluxe rooms for 2 nights. We had greek food at Pelago taverna and loved the pink and red rocks on the beach. Best photos we have ever made! This beach is really calm in the evening and most of the bars are closed at night, only the restaurants are open and are also really calm.

The beach opens up to this wide expanse with a stretched sandy shores and little white pebbles across. The blue waters are very inviting but it's quite in early June, though the temperatures were around 90 degree Farenheit, The large rock formations are very interesting as you can see the lava rock formations within where the little pebbles inside are exposed inside...
The other end of Paleochori Beach away from the restaurants is a clothing optional beach, so you're likely to see nudies in that general direction. Closer to the restaurants, you will find people in swimming costumes.
We collected several white pebbles on the beach and enjoyed our time at this beach
Do bring your water shoes as it gets rough walking on the small pebbles after a while.

We stayed in Paliochori in August 2020. The Paliochori beach is the best I have seen in Greece. There are 2 tavernas and 1 bar on the beach. We had very good beach service provided by Pelagos taverna staff. They are very friendly and helpful. Staff had facemaskers and cleaned beds for new guests. Price €15 for a set = 2 beds and umbrella.

This area was one of the most beautiful beaches I have ever been too!
We stayed at the Airbnb Eyaggelia room.
The studio was very clean and tidy. The owners were so friendly and we made friends instantly with their cats. We sat under the pergola having Birchers muesli, tea and coffee.
Palechori beach is one of the best beaches in Milos with sun loungers and gourmet breakfast. We went to Sirocco and had amazing dinners.
Jet skis paddle boards canoes are available for hire. There are many places to explore and have a real holiday!
Palechori (Palioxhori)beach is 2 minutes away on foot.
The room was large and a good price considering the location right on the beachfront.
There is something magical about this location, and I would 100% recommend Eyaggelia room.
We will return again!

The information on Paliochori beach as presented here on TA is inconsistent. It does specify correctly that it is 10 kilometers from Adamas, but the title says it *is* in Adamas, where in fact, it is located in the settlement of Paliochori, on the south coast of Milos.

Paliochori is generally regarded as the best beach in Milos, even though parts of it have been eroded the last couple of years. This is a temporary phenomenon, however. Each year, some beaches get eroded a little, while some others gain more sand volume and expand into the sea.

Paliochori Beach is easily accessible by bus leaving from Adamas about every hour. This is very spacious beach with relaxed atmosphere; several beach bars were open during the summer; The unusual colors of rock formations surrounding the beach bring the unique feel. The beach is located on the south of island and it s not exposed to the strong winds.
