This is a truly beautiful hike, though the word "hike" is a bit of a stretch. Definitely walk along the stream. Though there are strict warnings about climbing up and along the main part of the waterfall, there is a lower fall where it is...More

Take the time to take the trail, before or after lunch at a picnic table. There is a huge furnace that provided iron ore for decades. At its core, it is just a good, non-strenuous hike showing folks what this part of VA looks like.

Easy to find, however the road leading in was a bit rough-you'll need to be careful if your car is low to the ground. What a nice place to spend an afternoon! As with most places you can spend as much time as you have. There...More

I'm sorry to say it isn't. There are stairs, bridges, and slabs of rock along the trail.
