The view down the mountainside is stunning, overlooking all the grape vines with the valley below and the Appalachian Mountains in the background. Stunning. Barry Moss has built the vineyard from scratch including the tasting room and outdoor pavilion. He is the owner and winemaker...More

Beautiful vineyard and artistic small tasting room, desgined by an architect. The Wines are decent, espically the Rose. Note: get directions, GPS had some difficulty with correct location. We followed driving instructions from close by Kilaurwen Winery. They are in the process of building more...More

My Lady and I were lost and due to unknown factors, GPS wasn't helping. We stopped by the Moss Vineyards sign. A kind lady in a Jeep directed us up the hill . We met the owners and had a tasting. We loved the view...More

First time visiting. The tasting room isn't very large and could get very crowded very quickly. The draw is the view of the mountains from the covered area or from the pavilion. There is also a new room for hosting receptions and events. I could...More

This place is nestled in a mountain valley and was a beautiful spot to have a tasting in. It is dog friendly as several people came in to the tasting room with their pooches. There was just one server there and he was a rock...More

Very nice wines albeit a little pricey. There is a beautiful view from the winery and several places to enjoy a bottle, inside or out. One of the few that we visited that you drive in through the vineyard. Nice.

Our absolutely favorite vineyard. The views are incredible and the wines are delightful. The tasting room is stylish, with beautiful artwork, which is painted by the very talented owner. You can purchase cheese and nibbles, if you so wish. We take a picnic and enjoy...More

Wines were fine, but look at the design, that's what the wines taste like. Just OK with little excitement.

We stopped here while visiting several vineyards in the area. They are working to expand, and the current tasting room is rather small. The person doing our tasting was very personable and interesting. The wines were good, but somewhat one-note. They definitely need to be...More

With the best view in Virginia, and award winning wines, we certainly encourage others to experience Moss Vineyards. Thank you!

The tasting room is on the small side compared to other wineries in the general Charlottesville area, but that is part of the charm. Very fun and friendly host the day that we visited. We enjoyed our tasting and purchased a bottle to drink on-site...More
