Very manageable sized park with rides and attractions to fit the whole family, from toddlers to teens and adults, too! We got an annual pass, and went multiple times, but still didn't get a chance to do everything we wanted, so there is plenty to do.

The park decorated for Christmas was great. So festive. Clean and fun. The berry lemon curd crepes were delicious. Lines not too long. I did don’t need a fast pass.

The Winterfest was really a pleasure to attend. The park was well decorated, the staff was very friendly, and most of the rides were open, despite the cold weather. We really enjoyed our evening there.

Kings dominion winterfest was the worst experience ever. They opened at 5 by 6 all the rides were closed. “Technical difficulties” they said. We heard from others that it was because it was too cold. The temperature literally dropped 1 degree the whole time. I will NEVER waste my money for this again. Employees were rude. Prices are horrible. 2 chic fil a sandwich’s and 2 fries cost $40. Spend your money at Busch gardens where the rides are open!

I bought 2 use anytime tics for 2021 and ended up not being able to use them. I looked at KD website and it said I could upgrade the tics to season passes for 2021 but I had to call them to do so. But when I called I was told by Kim I would have to come to KD to get that done. When I explained I live almost two hours away she said it did not matter. No wonder this place looks so rundown. They would rather steal my $70 for two tickets when they could be selling me two season passes for $99 a piece, I hope Busch Gardens buys Dominator, Intimidator and Twisted Timbers when KD closes.

We purchased out tickets online while waiting in line at the front gate. Once inside the park we walked to the tidal wave pool. The lifeguard on duty informed me that the pool would open in 45 mins. I waiting patiently with my 4 year old and 6 year old twins and brother. Once the wave pool open we got in for about 12 to 15 minutes before we were instructed to exit the pool due to weather coming out way. I drove from Newark New Jersey this morning to visit your park. The rain began 30 minutes later. I waiting in the guest service line to speak to a manager for over 20 minutes in the rain with small children. My children were very upset that no rides we're running. A staff member can out and told everyone in line "THERE WILL BE NO REFUNDS OR RAIN CHECKS. I couldn't understand why. We didn't get to enjoy any rides or water attractions. I paid over $200 and we got the short end of the stick.

The park is what it is. It is your average theme park. We did not realize it was so similar to Dorney Park or we probably would not have spent so much money traveling to Virginia. The lines were short and the food was average. If you are on a budget, I recommend it. What left a lot to be desired was the preferred parking lot. We came out to someone’s Chik Fil A bags strewn everywhere to the point I had to move some with my foot to get in my car.

We bought our season’s passes in December for the 2020 season. We only used it one night. Yesterday, we finally were able to visit the park. What a disappointment! Before we entered the park, the three of us used the restroom. The women’s rest room was awe full. The toilets were clogged. There was no toilet paper. The restroom was filthy. After entering the park, we rode two rides. On the swings, the attendant did not check to see that the strap was attached. Another woman and I watched him walk off without checking. There was spit on the pavement. The second restroom in the park was nearly as filthy as the first. We went for dinner at the burrito restaurant. There were several employees taking drinks, filling the cutlery dispenser, and chatting. There were only two actually working to serve. The employee at the register needed help for each transaction. An employee came out, wiped a few tables, and went back behind the service table. The table where I sat was crusty. I moved to one of the tables he wiped. It took a long time for mediocre food. Only recently had Kings Dominion lift the reservation requirement. We had hoped for a break from I95. We travel to Richmond regularly and wanted to make Kings Dominion a nice stop. Wow. We were depressed after our visit. The only bright spot was the music entertainment we glimpsed for a few minutes on the way to the restaurant.

We and our 2 teens had fun on a cpl coasters and then the water rides, but a LOT of rides were closed (the Avalanche and other water-ish rides that we really wanted). Still enjoyed it. The food options were so limited (and of course incredibly expensive - $16 for a hamburger - and poor quality). Next time would bring our own liter bottles of water/gaterade and a picnic lunch. The park wasnt filthy as I expected, and there were plenty of shady spots to sit.

The park was clean!! There were not too many people on the day we went and the attractions were open with short lines to ride. Not all the food vendors were open but enough so if you were hungry there were choices. The grandkids had a blast! The staff were helpful and friendly. It was lovely! The fountains in the main entrance to the lighthouse in Soak City - well planned, clean and a great backdrop for a fun family day!
