This stadium surpassed our expectations. It was clean, covered seating area, comfortable seats, great concession stand and plenty of room. It was exciting to see the locals come out and support the Danville Braves. A class act all the way around!
A top flight stadium for rookie league baseball. A farm club of the Atlanta Braves with lots of entertainment between innings for young fans. Staff is very friendly and prices are reasonable. Lots of fun for the entire family.
Been to this place 4 times, the location is an easy place to get into and out of being as it is just off the Danville Expressway bypass for rte 29. near the exits at rte 58...Along with the Ball Field is the Dan Daniel...More
We have not been to the park before. But, I have been to many minor league parks and this one ranks at the top. It is well kept and very clean. All the seats have good views of the field. It's not a small field...More
Nice place to see a game - the Danville Braves. Reasonable ticket prices and friendly service. Have some weekly specials currently at the concessions that are a good price. Have on field games during timeouts.
Capped off a nice day in Danville by taking in a game on a Sunday afternoon. This little gem has been home to the Atlanta Braves Rookie A League affiliate for a quarter of a century now, but the park is kept in great shape...More
A throwback to years ago.Legion Field is baseball the way the way it used to be.
Located on a county athletic site with other fields around it,Legion Field is tucked away and you'd never know it was a pro stadium unless you are looking for...More
I really enjoyed this one. It is a small park with a great hometown atmosphere. Concession prices are reasonable (remember it's a ballpark). The parking is plentiful and free. It is within or near Danville's Riverwalk Trail. Spend the extra money and sit in Sections...More

There are 2 decent places near the exit of rte 58 and the bypass 29/58 which is 1 exit away from the ballpark exit for Dan Daniel park where Legion Field is. One is a Best Western rated 3.7 and the other is a Sleep Inn and suites rated at 4.1. The Best Western is the first one you will see when you exit 58 and head east, maybe half mile on the right. The Sleep inn is a nother half mile on the left in front off a shopping center and near a McDonalds, it is across from the airport. so both within a mile of the exit. That would put you about 2 miles from the BallField. Any more than that would be to the west of that exit and into Danville. Maybe 4 miles or so. I have never stayed at these particular Motels so can't say exactly how they are but, you can look at them with a tripadvisor search or just google search them. Hope this helps.
