Danville's Riverwalk Trail can be a peaceful escape after a busy day, but it can also be a place filled with energy and excitement. One can take a leisurely walk, stroll a baby, walk a dog, take a lively bike ride, go on a high powered jog or run, feed the geese, have a picnic, toss a ball or frisbee,... More

We had intended to walk some on the trail but there were too many mosquitoes and we didn't have bug spray! We enjoyed a few minutes of walking before we had to turn back. I wouldn't mind going again.

Nice easy trail hiking, biking friendly. Your dog will enjoy the walk but please pickup after yourself. You get to enjoy wildlife. A gem to the city by the river through the woods and different parts of the city

The walk is very peaceful, amazing amount of animal and plant diversity. It stretches for a long way, so you can run, bike or walk for almost as long as you want. Views of the river are very nice.

The trail follows the river (Riverwalk) with nice view from many places. Head to the Bridge street pavilion for a great view of the dam, waterfowl and anglers.

This was a nice bike ride. We were there during the week so it wasn't crowded but we heard it can be quite busy on the weekends. We parked at the amtrak station and crossed over the bridge. We rode upriver first. That part is about 2 miles and passes behind business on the right with the river on the... More

With over 14 miles of trail (and growing!) there is a lot to see along this well maintained walk that mostly runs beside the river. The sections near the community market and the baseball field have the most traffic. In addition to the paved trail there are several hiking trails that go into the woods around the trail and there... More

We spent a delightful spring afternoon biking the Riverwalk Trail. The trail is paved and mostly flat. The setting along the river is quite lovely. There are often benches, places to fish, and restrooms. If you ride the last few miles toward the airport you'll enjoy a workout, as this is the only steep section. The payoff is the fun... More

This trail is a great place to walk or just sit for a while and enjoy nature. It is a very long trail if you do the full length. I recommend taking a bag lunch and sitting by the river for a quiet get-away in the city.
