The folks at the Bike Station went above and beyond to make sure our trip went well. It started by them, offering to pick us up from Abington and shuttling us to Whitetop even though their service is usually from Damascus. Then, when I had a flat, they brought us a new tube and made sure we got going again. We had a wonderful trip on the Creeper and it’s in major part due to the people at the Bike Station.

This was AMAZING!! In town for a family wedding, needed something to do for the kids. We also have a special needs teenager. The Bike Station ROCKS!! Not only was it easy to book on the website, but they have special needs capabilities and we took the whole crew! The staff was great! Very kind and accommodating, shop was clean and check-in was a breeze. Creeper Trail is BEAUTIFUL, loved the railroad trestles and mountain views -- we can't wait to come back in the fall!

Friendly and helpful staff. Heard a bit of history of area on the transport to top. This time we opted for electric bikes (not necessary, but fun!). The bikes were top of the line--what a comfortable ride!)

I have used The Bike Station twice in the past month. Wendy is amazing! She can give you tips on where to spot waterfalls, get fresh spring water… made sure we’d be safe and comfortable. One of my kids got scraped up and Wendy got her all fixed up upon return. I am already trying to plan another trip… it really suits a wide variety of abilities. I would recommend taking sunglasses to keep trail dust out of eyes.

We were saddened to hear the "old owners" had retired but then after meeting the new owners we fell in love all over again with the Bike Station. We have been going there for years and our experience with the new owners was just a great as before. They are very friendly, answered all our questions. The bikes are in tip top shape. We had a great ride up to White Top in the van and a great ride down the trail. I highly recommend The Bike Station for your trail needs, great people.

Amazing customer service! We were in town and didn't even rent bikes, but needed to buy a bolt and washer. We popped in to ask where we could do that and the incredibly helpful and kind person working there found what we needed, gave it to us, and wouldn't let us pay. If we need bikes or shuttles this is where we'll go!!!

First of all the Bike Station staff are experienced with the Creeper Trail and offers excellent equipment. Comfortable bikes with tires appropriate for the gravel trail and responsive disk brakes. Saddle a bit too soft for a road rider like myself but others appreciate the mattress style. Bottle of water appreciated. Driver loaded us up and left promptly. He is a local with a wealth of knowledge and history that was quite interesting and helped pass the time up to Whitetop. We were so impressed with Bike Station that we planned to return the next day but heavy rains prevented that. Insider tip: if you’re at all inclined to fish, by all means bring a fly rod like I did. You’ll be rewarded with pristine stream all to yourself!

We rented bikes at the Bike Station. We did the 8:30 am tour. We arrived at about 8 am. The bikes are all in very good condition. We were fitted to an appropriate sized bike by the staff here. The staff are friendly and efficient. Our driver told us stories on the van ride on the way to the beginning of the trail. He was funny and informative. We were given a 10 % discount since we were referred from the Dancing Bear Inn down the street. We appreciated that very much. The cost is $39.99 per person for bike rental and transportation to Whitetop to begin your 17 mile bike ride back to Damascus. Price includes a bike helmet and a bottle of water per person. We enjoyed this adventure very much. The workers and owner are very interested in making your experience a good and safe one. I recommend the Bike Station in Damascus for your bike rental and Virginia Creeper Bike Trail ride experience. Thank you!

People were very nice, adorable dog in the office, and solid driver. Very pleased. TIP: If in doubt, BRING A JACKET, mittens, hat, wool socks etc. It is colder on the top of the mtn and there is wind chill while riding. It was in the high 50's and there were several people on the trail wishing they hadn't left jackets in their cars.... Also, if I had to do it over, I WOULD accept the helmet. Trail can be bumpy.
