About
The Bike Station is located in beautiful, southwest Virginia, in the town of Damascus. We are the premier bike rental and bike shuttle service for the Virginia Creeper Trail. For your riding pleasure, our bike rental fleet is comprised of many types of bikes ranging from mountain bikes to leisure path cruisers and comfort bikes, as well as tandems. All of our bikes are expertly maintained and include gel seats, riser handlebars and frame sizes from 14-inch to 21-inch. We have what it takes to meet the needs of every rider visiting the Virginia Creeper Trail. Whether this is your first time visiting us to ride the Virginia Creeper or if you're a repeat customer, our goal is to make your ride an unforgettable experience. We now have six shuttle vans to better serve visitors to Damascus.

Planned this trip only 5 days in advance and could not get a bike for Sat or Sun so we chose to extend our trip to Monday and rented a bike through the Bike Station. What a great choice! First of all, I am glad we rode on Monday when the trail was not as crowded as the weekend. Secondly, the Bike Station took care of us and went above and beyond the basics. No need to explain the details, just ask for what you need and even though they are busy, they try to accommodate. Our shuttle driver gave us a few pointers for a more pleasant bike ride, cautioned us to be careful on some of the road crossings and overall, took care of us.
Especially glad we went during the fall. The leaves were turning for variations of color. The fall light through the trees was lovely. The trail ran alongside the river and crossed multiple times over wooden bridges, giving us different scenery at each crossing. Easy to stop anywhere and take your time, walk or sit on rocks, soak in the beautiful nature. Yep, good trip!

Bikes are kept in excellent condition. We were given full information on the Virginia Creeper Trail so there were no surprises. Very friendly folk and terrific shuttle driver. We were told the shuttle ride can be alarming but our driver was so careful that we enjoyed the scenery. I'll use The Bike Station again when I return in the fall.

Great time on the creeper trail! Bikes were good, well maintained. Staff was super nice and followed all the covid rules so we felt comfortable. Creeper trail is amazing!!! You have to do it. -7 miles down hill in shade, with rolling water beside you. So fun!

I would advise anyone that can to go ride the creeper! It’s a wonderful time! I would also advise you to use any of the many bike services in Demascus, Va. OTHER than the Bike Station. Blue blaze has wonderful customer service. Sun Dog is great!! Stay away from the Bike station. They are hateful and unprofessional.

We have been using the Bike Station for a couple of years now. They are always friendly and helpful. They are located a block or so off the Virginia Creeper trail in Damascus, VA.You can either ride out and back from there, or have them shuttle you to the top and ride down. We always bring our own bikes, but they offer rentals. They also have trailers and tag-a-longs for the little ones. We have used a couple other shuttle services, but I like the down-home feel of this one. They recently moved from their old location to a bigger space right next door. They are remodeling to offer more facilities for bikers. We will be back!

When I need a mini-vacation I head for Damascus, VA and The Bike Station. In 2008 a friend & I were looking for an adventure, found this treasure and we've been going back ever since. A family-oriented business that delivers quality service at a reasonable price, the new location offers more space and the comforts of home including showers. The Virginia Creeper Trail is a beautiful nature experience and The Bike Station gets you there.

Steve and Lisa Mann run a tip-top shop! They have just renovated their location and offer the finest amenities available in the town of Damascus for shuttle service. The Bike Station offers bikes of all sizes and styles, easy access, excellent pricing and superb service! As part of the renovation, they are now located in a bigger building with more storage and can offer private showers to those in need of a 'clean up' after a 17 or 34 mile ride. When I travel north to ride the Creeper Trail, this is the only shuttle service I use. I highly recommend The Bike Station!

Poor service, so went to another bike shop instead with excellent service. On my first call I was told to call back later. On my second call to make a reservation for a family reunion group of about 30 people the person took my name and telephone number but nobody called me back

We checked out most of the bike places in Damascus, and The Bike Station was by far the friendliest and the best deal. They have great quality bikes and helmets, and even provide a free bottle of water. Veterans and college students get a 10% discount, and as a veteran, I really appreciated being honored. Their new building is spacious and has nice clean rest rooms. It's about a 40-minute van ride to the top of the mountain, and our driver was an expert, taking the curves slow and smooth. (This is a big deal - we talked to some other riders on the trail who told horror stories about their young drivers blasting up the mountain at full speed throwing everybody around in their seats and even giving one person motion sickness.) This business has been around for years, and it shows - they do things right. The Virginia Creeper Trail is an amazing bike ride experience, and The Bike Station will make sure you do it right.

We could not have picked a better day to do the Virginia Creeper Trail; and renting our bikes from The Bike Station made it even better. The owner (Steve Mann) and his staff do everything to make you comfortable and help you have a great trail ride. We have used them twice and will continue to use them when we go back; just super friendly people.
