This"national" park is a great place to spend a couple hours. Our tour guide was fantastic. He was from the National Park Service and was funny, knowledgeable and entertaining! A great history lesson!

Wonderful visitors center with good information about it's history. Read all the plaques have good history facts about the family. Then go walk on the beach where popes creek comes in. Nice and clean area!

The grounds and buildings were well maintained and gave a good sense of the property in the era. Our guide was exceptionally knowledgeable and contrasted very well the "what we know for sure" vs the "what we think we know."
