Great choices of flat or hilly trails, lots of trees, bushes and wildlife. Some creeks provide water for the dog.

Love the huckleberry great place to walk, run, or ride a bike. In the summer there tends to be a lot of snakes and even being prior military I wouldn't go on it alone.

I did like the very accurate mile posts, though they FELT too far apart (personal problem). With a little running music and some babbling from the nearby creek, it was great for my workout. Easy access and parking. Posted with historical information too.

I've walked this many times over the years, mostly with dogs in tow. It is a very pleasant trail stretching from Blacksburg to Christiansburg. People are always friendly along it and I have never had anything but a pleasant experience.
