We booked a 2 hours fishing charter in July 2021. The day was windy, and the captain warned us that we would getting very wet because of the wind and tides. He gave us the option of canceling, but 2 of the three of us chose to go anyway. He was right about getting wet. They came backed drenched, but very happy! The captain (I didn't get his name) was knowledgeable and made the trip fun. They didn't catch much, but had a great experience. I'd recommend rain ponchos on a windy day!

Spent a quick 4 hours with Captain Andrew. Caught a nice 40" redfisg, hooked a big shark and caught some kingfish. Captain Andrew was super cool and knowledgeable. Great day

My wife and 13 yr old daughter went out with Jed for the 4 hour “do it all” - fishing, ponies, clamming, crabbing. Jed was informative, helpful, and thoughtful. Plus he added a few corny jokes here and there which was fun. The clamming was unexpectedly really cool. Oh, and we caught a shark. Definitely recommend Fish Tales.

Really great day in the water. Did an 8-12 charter. Caught 40 small fish and my son caught a 4 foot Musky Shark. The guides were wonderful - Jed the caption was wonderful.

My 5 young children and I booked a 4 hour fishing charter with Captain Pete/Fish Tales. I was a bit concerned that my 2 youngest daughters (6-9) might not enjoy such a long trip. I was wrong to worry. Capt. Jed and his Mate, Dick, were outstanding. We caught fish, saw dolphins, found a shell or two and had the best charter experience you could hope for. Definitely the highlight of our vacation. Well done and I would highly recommend! Thanks for a great time!

A trip to Chincoteague would not be complete without a Fish Tales charter or two. The bay trip and the shark trip with Andrew and Ashley is the highlight of our vacation. Nothing better than to watch my grandsons reel in the big one.

Went out with Jed and had a fantastic trip. He made sure we had a good time and opportunity to catch fish (which we did!). Jed was very pleasant and we had a great time. If you go, be sure and ask for Jed. We look forward to taking a future trip with him! Oh, and small world, turns out he is from the same hometown as us and lived next to my cousin!

Our family encountered a flat tire on the way to our trip, and we thought our day could be ruined. Captain Jed was wonderful and even recommended a local mechanic. We had an amazing first fishing trip. He was knowledgeable and kept my kids entertained the entire time!! We caught a lot of fish and the best part was the huge shark at the end. It was so awesome. We can’t stop talking about our wonderful trip. We can’t wait to come back next year!! Thanks Captain Jed :-)

We spent 4 hours on the water with Jed. Had a fantastic time. Were able to experience all that was advertised for the 4 hour trip. Plus we saw the ponies, dolphins, and a bald eagle and my son caught a shark. He hasn't stopped talking about it. We will definitely book another tour the next time we come

I called to make reservations. Clearly it says $35 per person. The reservation was for. The lady says because it was for 2,i had to pay for an extra person. Why is that

You don't have to pay for a 3rd person if there are 3 or more on the boat, even if they are not in your group. The boat losses money by taking only 3 passengers. It is typically not a issue during the season in July and August.
Do you have to have a fishing license

No, they cover it all: rods, reels, bait, and license for the short time is covered.
These folks could not make it easier, all aboard and happy fishing.

Why do we need socks?

You will be feeling in the sand for clams with your feet. It gives protection from shells etc.
