It is over two hundred years old, but that's all the sign says. Not much other info about if that is the same site, who owned it, history, etc.

The downside of this attraction is it isn't open long hours. We visited it on a Saturday afternooon and it was closed, but we got to read a bit about it on the placard and peek in the windows. I love old, historic structures.

IT was a beautiful day and we went to find the house we had heard about on Daisy Cruises. I believe it was the mans relatives home. IT didnt take much to find it. It was a weekend but there was no one there and no times for it opening posted. we did see the carvings on the boards. Thanks... More

Unfortunately, we didn't visit during the summer and it wasn't open for our visit. We were able to sneak a peak through the windows while fighting off the onslaught of blood sucking mosquitos. Would have liked to stay longer but the mosquitos chased us away.

The docent gives lots of interesting information regarding Chincoteague history. The house is furnished appropriate to its time. A great free journey into the past.....

What a great place .Small but historic. Drive around chincotigue island and you find lots of history from Captain Timothy's house to old grave yards . This house was refurbished but you get the idea and feeling of what took place.

Very interesting, had not seen this on previous visits. Good historical lesson for my grandson. Cool carvings of skipjacks on the outside of the home.

There is not a lot of things inside and if you go will maybe take at most 10 minutes. If you do go though look around the back at the graffiti left by Timothy Hill's children.
