Whether you have kids who love the Chincoteague ponies or you love them yourself, this is a fine store which is the home of many of Misty Descendents, the Chincoteague Pony Drill Team (magnificent and offers evening shows in the summer!) and books written about Chincoteague Island, their birds, wildlife and ponies! Reasonably price items and so is the show!... More

Our 7&9 year olds were not impressed. We offered to have them go for a pony ride, but they said they'd rather buy something at the bookstore instead, since it the ride went around in a little circle three times. In all fairness, we have a zoo membership and they get to do horse/pony rides a bunch as part of... More

Didn't see the show but stopped in hoping for something educational for the kids but all we saw was a gift shop filled with "made in China" items. What a missed opportunity here. Also the man behind the counter yelled at some kids. Maybe you shouldn't keep cute fuzzy things at kids eye level and expect them not to touch... More

I am sorry you did not take advantage of our free educational Memories of Misty Museum, complete with ponies to see, lots of hand on exhibits and a documentary to watch in our video room. The pony rides do last longer than a minute, and are given on a direct descendant of Misty, the only place you can get such... More

We came to check out the ponies, see the Misty exhibit, and buy some souvenirs. Glad we stuck around for the show, which was lively and fun. Not only was it educational, but it also incorporated audience participation, a skit, and games. We enjoyed seeing Centre students participating in the show and competitions. And, of course, the ponies were complete... More

I loved the show, certainly a must see on Chincoteague. The show features descendents of misty and stormy and the Chincoteague drill team. The gift shop is humongous and has lots of Breyer toys.

Rating Disclaimer: We didn't do the pony rides or the show. Our family simply stopped by to see the ponies and visit the gift shop. Our kids enjoyed seeing the ponies and their baby ponies as well as perusing the the gift shop. Staff we friendly. We thought the ponies outside could've had better accommodations like more shade or cleaner... More

They let our son who is 2 ride the pony which he thoroughly enjoyed. The ride cost $7. The guy leading the pony looked liked he would have rather been anywhere else but there.

My girls loved getting to see the horses here. They enjoyed getting to ride on an ancestor of Misty. The store has some great items. The staff was friendly and helpful and knowledgeable! Sadly, we didn't make it to the show that evening.

The evening show is one of my favorite things to do, and I absolutely love watching a child take their first pony ride.
