Beautiful spot on the end of the island. It’s the perfect location for a tribute to those who make their living on the sea, their families, and those who look out for them.

This is an amazing tribute to those lost at sea. The personal testimonials seen on the markers bring the emotions alive for those who have lost family members. The artist who designed the memorial made it huge as if reaching out to sea for all...More

This marker beckons returning boats to the harbor, and reminds all who see it that the wide sea is not only a pleasant play ground when all is calm, but a violent cauldron when winds and tides and boat failures are wrapped in fogs.

A nice tribute to the sailors that didn't come home. It looks just as nice from the water as it does from land.

Worth the small trip out to the memorial to learn a bit more about the history of seafarers and to see some great views of the water and island.

As we were returning from our Spring Pony Roundup, I noticed a large white cross standing on the distant shore and asked our boat Captain about it. He told me that I really must go and check it out once we docked, that it was...More

Came across this by chance, and as a sailing ship captain myself, found it to be a moving tribute to lost mariners. The walk to the point offers a sweeping view over the bay and marshes out to sea. Interpretive panels offer insight about hardships...More
