We used Capt Spider several years ago for a sunset cruise and enjoyed our experience so much that we sought him out again this year. His cruises are not packed, I believe he is licensed for six and our cruises have both been just two couples. The small group size allows him to provide an incredible amount of information about... We booked a sunset cruise for our anniversary weekend with Captain Spider and were sad to learn it was scheduled to storm that night. Captain Spider was great about keeping in touch with us and up on the latest radar weather conditions. He even offered to reschedule the next day in between other scheduled tours. While we didn't get to... More

Each year we tour with Spider. In addition to horses we see eagles and dolphins. Our yearly trip helps us keep up with changes on the Island. We get restaurant reviews, check in on the aqua farmers and see the changes that the ocean storms make. Spider is a great guide. He's prepared with binoculars, water and lots of stories.... More

Captain Spider was wonderful to tour with. He has tons of knowledge and knows all the good spots to view wild ponies. Tour lasted about 2 hours, was so fun! Will definitely return for another tour and would recommend this tour to anyone. He was funny, personable and very professional. The sunset tour was beautiful, absolute peace and serenity.

Our family took a ride with Spider on our last day there. He is so funny and enjoyable to talk to. He has tons of knowledge about the island and does his very best to get you a great photo of the wild ponies. Book early tho, he is a busy man, and you don't want to miss his tour.... More

Captain Spider married me and my now husband this past Friday, then took us on a boat tour of the island. He was very easy to work with, went out of his way to make sure our ceremony and sunset tour was exactly what we wanted, and provided history of the island. He made our wedding day very special, and... More

Spider went above + beyond on our tour of the islands. He gave us so much detail + history about the islands that we learned so much. It was a true leisure trip with the added pleasure of seeing Dolphins + wild ponies. He went where the other cruises didn't. Recommend the evening cruise. 2 hours of joy. Definitely would... More

You will love Capt Spider and his great tour all the way around Chincoteague. He only has room for 6 people, so book early & be on time! He clearly loves the island, wildlife and history of the area. And he's not scarey like his name would suggest!
