I have never given a negative review before but I must be honest, as well. The "historian" / first mate talked (no yelled) for the entire 1 1/2 hour boat trip. My ears were ringing and I had a headache when we arrived back to the dock. She did tell us some unknown facts, though. We saw a band of... More

I find this to be a tough review. On the one hand, the staff were friendly and eager to please. You're looking for wild animals, so of course they can't control what you do or do not see. We were in the same places as a few of the other tour companies, so it's not like those other customers saw... More

Fantastic tour! Capt. Dave and Marika(hope I spelled that correctly), were great guides. Very knowledgeable about the area. I went with my 13y/o daughter, there were small children and an older couple on board with us. Everyone seemed to enjoy the trip. We will definitely be back, but next time I think we will try the kayak tour to get... More

We took the kayak tour and it was truly fun and informative. Our family consisted of grandparents, parents, a five year old and an eight year old. Everyone laughed and enjoyed the whole excursion. Our guide was Steve and he was personable and informative. We learned a lot about the area and the locals. We "goootcha" Steve! We got to... More

Ever since reading "Misty of Chincoteague" as a young child I have wanted to see the Chincoteague ponies. 50 years later I had the good fortune to have Captain Mark and Tour Guide Gayle on a gorgeous morning tour. Both were so knowledegable about not only the ponies, but birds and other wildlife in the area, as well as the... More

So this is your traditional get on a boat and tour the shore line. The tour started over 20 min late because the captain had not arrived, but we got to see a mare and baby. The person guiding was knowledgable and answered questions. But it was $45 a person which I thought it was pricey for what we got.

Our thanks to Capt. Ken for a great cruise. Not only did he know where to find ponies but also osprey, eagles and their nests. He also had many interesting and humorous stories to share about the island and its history. As a Misty-lover from my long-ago childhood, this was a bucket list wish of mine and Capt.Ken helped make... More

We just now returned from a morning kayaking tour with Shane. It was just my husband and I, which I kind of felt bad about him having to take just us but it was such an amazing morning. The weather was perfect. Shane set us up on a tandem kayak, and explained the basics to us. We paddled out to... More

Unfortunately (due to weather, not the guide) we did not get to see the wild ponies as close as expected. The guide (Shane) was very informative and friendly, and we had a wonderful time. This is a good experience for both seasoned and new kayakers.

I was really hesitant to do this at first. I am not super outdoorsy, but we really wanted to see wild ponies and this seemed like a good way! Steve, our guide, was incredibly sweet and funny. We got to see birds, got up close with ponies, and had great kayak instruction. It was the highlight of our trip!
