We stopped in Chincoteague for 2 nights in September having never been there after a 3 day trip to the Outer Banks. We wanted to see the ponies so we booked a trip with Daisey's Island Cruises. They were extremely customer oriented and accommodating. We got to see Bottle Nose Dolphins, an assortment of shore birds, Bald Eagles and the... More

I took my mother on this cruise, and it was so much fun. The tour guide was knowledgeable and fun to talk to, and the people we were with brought their dogs, which was a fun addition to the boat. We got to see the ponies from afar on the boat (they're not that far away, but binoculars could be... More

Our guide, Nate, gave us a fabulous boat tour of the islands of Chincoteague and Assateague on a beautiful Monday afternoon. He is incredibly knowledgeable and an eagle-eyed spotter of wildlife. His enthusiasm for the area is infectious and engaging, and his skills at introducing us to the dolphins, waterfowl, bald eagles, and the ponies on both parts of the... More

WOW! What an amazing crew! We spent Friday night and Saturday afternoon with Capt Scott and can not stop raving about our experiences!!! We had an incredible dinner cruise with the Harvest Moon Friday night and an incredibly special, once in a lifetime experience following Capt Scott's recommendation for our intimate wedding ceremony on the sandbar-- He couldn't have been... We loved our cruise! Nate was our captain and was very knowledgeable and entertaining. He gave us the entire history of the pony swim and auction, shucked oysters fresh from the water, and told us all about Chincoteague Island in general. On our cruise, we saw baby and mama dolphins, bald eagles, lots of waterfowl, and the famous Chincoteague wild... More

Spent a wonderful afternoon on the water, courtesy of our captain, Nate! We saw many dolphins in the channel and I saw my first bald eagle in the wild. But, of course, the highlight of the trip was seeing four different groups of the wild ponies made famous in "Misty of Chincoteague." Nate was so nice, full of knowledge, and... More

We really enjoyed our boat tour with Capt. Bill on Daisey's Island Cruises! Over two and half hours of dolphin encounters, eagle sightings and a close up with the famous Assateague Island ponies! Bill told great stories of the area and it's colorful history and he got us in close to shore for a nice long visit with the ponies.... More

Ask for Captain Carlton! He knows his Island and it was a pleasure to boat with him! We learned so much from him and gave us some inside tips that made our trip even more eventful. We will see you again!

After a rough first day in Chincoteague, I chose to embark on a nature cruise with Daisey's Island Cruises. When I called to make the reservation, no one answered the phone, but as soon as I hung up, they called me back. I was able to get on the 12 p.m. cruise. The weather wasn't the best, but it wasn't...
