If they only had waste disposal on site

Spent 3 days in this park with our 40ft. fifth wheel. Really nice park with lots of facilities. Unfortunately they only have electric and water on the campsites.

Thank you for taking time to write a review. We don't add sewer hookups in our state park campgrounds but we have two parks with campgrounds that started out as private campgrounds that offer sewer hookups: Kiptopeke and Hungry Mother state parks. More

We camped out at the park for the Ragnar Relay. Our campsite was right by the lake and it was quire fascinating to watch the wild geese and hear toads and other wild life at night. The park offers boat, paddle boat and kayak rentals and there is plenty to explore! The trails were quite scenic and not too technical... More

This park is just average with a nice public swimming pool. It doesn't appear to be very large. There are a few spots for camping and a few hike trails but nothing special or spectacular. I is an easy stroll if you just want to walk in the woods with snakes. I will not visit again but I hope you... More

Thank you for taking the time to write a review. I am sorry we did a bad job of getting information to you so you would know all the park has to offer. Pocahontas is our largest Virginia State Park at 8,115 acres. Rowboats, paddleboats, kayaks, paddleboards and canoes may be rented at the boathouse on the 225-acre Swift Creek... More

Hiking the trails and renting canoes were excellant. The park has several hiking trails. They have nice mountain bike trails too. We like to hike around the lake. It has a really cool boardwalk through the woods at the far end of the lake. No issues with parking. It's a Virginia State Park...very well done.

Our property is directly across the street from the park. We used to love to ride our bikes on the paths over the weekends, and by ride, I mean cruise at a pace as to enjoy nature along the way. Since the new bike paths/circuit have been added we just can't. The cyclist that are there to use the paths... More

Great time for family fun. Fishing, walking, boating, camping, swim in pool. Taking in the great outdoors without a long car ride. Right in our backyard.

Pulled in last evening and as an out-of-stater, we were charged 40 dollars for a badly graded site with elec and a water pump. Bathrooms were ok but not very clean. Rode around the site looking for a better one to no avail; and could not locate shower facility. Poor signage, except for the one proclaiming itself " Best state... More

Pros: The park has an extremely large bell that the kids can ring....there was a small log that was small enough for my 4 year old granddaughter to pick up and hit the bell with. It also has what looks to be a water park. AND there is also another playground where the kids can play. My two granddaughters had... More
