The Chesapeake Arboretum offers an escape from urban life with ~3.5 miles of trails carved into 46 acres of forested native trees, a running creek, and scenically appealing background ideal for photography, jogging, or just strolling about... Check it out and get some fresh air...

Went during Veterans Day weekend, not much to see. The parking lot is outside a neighborhood and the trails are across the street. The trails were okay, you see lots of trees and you can also see people's backyards as well. Adjacent from the parking lot is a greenhouse with nothing it in and a red barn next to it.... More

This is a little gem in the middle of "downtown" Chesapeake Virginia. Easy well marked trails. Shady paths with occasional wildlife. There are several geocaches in here which adds to the fun. I did notice no one obeys the dog on a lease rule here so be aware of that. Trees have identifying plaques which is nice.

Love this little park. Always clean with nice soft trails. There are some steps in some places and a nice stream that or dog loves to jump in. We go here at least once a month.

Came to check out while I was in the area. Only public restroom I saw was a porta potty. Well laid out trails, nice scenary, benches and trail maps conveintly placed. Decent number of pokestops, caught a Seaking 525 and saw a Weezing on the radar, but it despawned before I could locate it.

This is a hidden gem of a park and a favorite place for us to take our dogs as it is far less crowded than Oak Lake Park (which is to say, we generally meet only a handful of other people, at most). The park is completely wooded and consists of several miles of looping trails that are well maintained... More

Have visited this place several times for a walk or a run. Trails are good. You can go for several different distances and there are several loops and inter-connections. Last visit, one bridge was down, so I had to backtrack and go around, but I'm sure they'll fix it soon.

Chesapeake Arboretum is a great place to walk when it is hot out. There is an immediate temperature drop as you enter under the shade of the trees. The paths follow along a stream in the park and are bordered by several neighborhoods. We frequently walk with our dog as to many others. There are several paths that are marked... More
