My first time visiting and I was impressed for such a small museum. The Warhol collection was worth the visit.

There was an Andy Warhol exhibit while we were visiting which was fun. These were pieces I have not seen before and added to my appreciation. And it is free!

Spent a pleasant Saturday admiring Warhol's Icon exhibit. Very impressive display, staff seemed quite knowledgeable. Small building (expansion soon) large and impressive collections.

Difficult to find and finding parking is hard because most of the parking areas and spaces require permits. There is parking behind the museum, if you can find your way in, or across the street. Make sure you get a permit tag from the front desk in the museum and get it on your car. Current exhibits included Andy Warhol... More

We toured the museum in early June. It's not a large museum, but it seems to be well staffed, and well inventoried. Each section seems to have its own theme. Much of the art is from the University's private collection. I was browsing and was surprised to see that one of the artists exhibited in the "Love" room to the... More

We live near Charlottesvile and our son attended UVA so we had the opportunity to visit the art museum several times. It is not a large art museum but they change displays on a regular basis and I was always able to find a display that I enjoyed. It is worth your time if you are visiting the city. If... More

When you consider the legacy and unique status of the University of Virginia, its art museum is a paltry thing. You get the sense that it is little more than an afterthought. Clearly, the visual arts have never thrived here, and, barring a stroke of fortune, possibly never will. While Jefferson had an educated eye, he seems not to have... More

On the campus at UVA this small two floor museum is just the right size for a quality visit. We saw a collection of Jacob Lawrence and another eclectic exhibit owned by various alumni.

Both of my kids have been to the Fralin Museum on field trips through our school. I went on both trips and both times the guides did a fantastic job.
