The pedestrian-only nature of the downtown mall makes it feel much safer for my kids when we visit. My family enjoys the live music and other performers who frequent the mall and make for an interesting visit on nice-weather evenings. There are wide variety of food venues including elegant adult oriented upscale (TEN is my favorite) to high quality modest... More

Great food, great music, fun shopping. It's where to be on Fridays. They even allow pets and most outdoor cafe's will serve your pet a bowl of fresh water. Thanks Nook!

If you are looking for a quaint 8 block outdoor mall, this will fit the bill. The mall is small and not too overcrowded. If you like more activity and a wide variety of options, you may be somewhat disappointed. While there are a few unique shops and food establishments, it is limited in scope and number. The mall is... More

Street performers, vendors, restaurants with outdoor seating, rooftop bars, and an outdoor concert venue at one end... What's not to love? Small toy shop, multiple used book stores, a diner with phenomenal milkshakes, space to run and make noise while grown-ups eat = good for kids. The giant public chalkboard is a bonus! 4/5 bc: The shops are not open... More

It is such a unique diverse spot to check out. It has so many different businesses here and is really a social center for downtown. We stopped in a few shops, walked its length, and had some food--all on a gorgeous late summer day.

Many nice businesses, amenities, shops, and restaurants of all shapes and sizes abound. Only drawback: too many smokers taking refuge from wherever.

Whether it's shopping, dining, or people watching, you can't lose out with time on the Downtown Mall. There's pretty much something for everyone here from cheap eats (try Marco and Luca or the ever popular Christians) to fine dining (Fluerie is one of our faves). It's local (don't miss out on the lunch counter in Timberlake's drugstore, they deliver too... More

This area reminded us a lot of Boulder and Ft. Collins, CO. Two of our favorite towns. So many great places to eat and shop here. Drive around and watch the signs for free on-street parking in the area, especially near the South St. Brewery. We spent a lot of time in the mall - including just about every lunch... More
