This is always a great trip. Almost anything you want to see or know about airplanes, rockets, space travel you can ask about from the guides. Many great examples of all types of airplanes and other vehicles. The space shuttle is also here.

It would be a minimum of $30-40 one way. Traffic depends on day. It can take 40-60 minutes on a good day.

you can get a bus from the end of the metro line that goes by Dulles and the museum on a loop. I can't recall the bus number but it's on the museum website under the "how to get here" tab (or whatever it's called).
