My husband and I enjoyed our ride. The people and horses were great. We liked hearing about the land and the history. While the business has been around for years, this location has only been open about a month. So the trail is good, but needs a little tidying still. Definitely has the potential to become a "five"! We would recommend this ride. And P.S. You get to give the horse treats afterwards! :)

My sister and I took a trail ride at Pfeiffer Riding Stables and really enjoyed it. We're both beginners, but had no trouble at all. The horses know the trail and follow commands well. We rode through the woods, along the river and trotted a bit back to the stable. The guides are experienced and the owner was very nice too. We had no problems booking, getting there, riding, paying. Great experience!

On the day we visited, there was a major downpour (in their local area not ours), the courteous and thoughtful staff texted us with the news and offered to reschedule. We decided to come anyway and we were happy we did. The youngest (7 yr old) enjoyed watching the pigs, and chickens as well as the horse ride. Our group of 6 truly enjoyed the ride. The horses and the trail were magnificent. The staff displayed a love for horses and were happy to share their experience with us. Can’t wait to return! The old town of Lake Charles was oh so gracious and hospitable.

I took my girlfriend here for her birthday and had a great time. The horses were well trained and the environment was super friendly. Our trail guides Anne, Jessica, and Angie provided us with a great tour and many historical fun facts about the area as we enjoyed our ride. I would definitely do this again and recommend it to anyone. Great job!!

This horse farm is very well maintained. The horses are a pleasure. the staff is like one giant family. Your are welcomed in as soon as you show up. The ride through woods opens up to a great view of Kings Creek. Well worth the trip here.

What a great experience! We are so glad we did a trail ride with Pfeiffer, which added so much to our vacation in the Cape. The owners take great care in their horses and visitors to make sure you are comfortable and at ease. I have done riding in the past, but it was the first time for my husband and our guide made it fun for the both of us. She told us information about the Cape, the horses, made local recommendations for our trip, and really made our experience a great one.
I would highly recommend for anyone and any level. They also have other farm animals that one can visit and are very open to visitors. It is great for kids and good for children's parties, too. If you are in the area, I hope you go!

My husband and I did a trail ride. Guides were accommodating and professional; trail ran through the woods and along the creek - very relaxing; horses were well behaved.
Took our 2.5 year old grandson who wanted to ride a pony but got cold feet. He played awhile and took in all the farm animals and family dog, then a lovely young "stable girl" offered to take him and his mom around the corral on her horse. He was so happy!!! All in all, a very safe, knowledgeable and accommodating operation.

As expected this ride was the usual trail ride basically thru a circular trail. The tour guide and hands were very nice and very real. The views were nice and there were no issues. As a side adventure from camp, my 16, 12 n 11 year Olds enjoyed the ride. Would love to see some distractions while riding, maybe fauna markings, local bird n animal markers, just to add some spice to an otherwise a usual trail ride.
